Position Summary
As Government Relations & ESG Engagement Manager, you will help shape Nestlé’s engagement with EU institutions and key stakeholders. Based in Brussels, you will drive advocacy strategies across economic affairs, the food supply chain, Single Market, innovation and trade, while strengthening Nestlé’s position as a trusted partner.
A day in the life of a Government Relations & ESG Engagement Manager – Supply Chain Relations (Nestlé Europe)
- define and deliver advocacy strategies aligned with Zone Europe priorities.
- engage with EU institutions, policymakers and trade associations to represent Nestlé’s interests.
- serve as a reference point on economic and commercial affairs in key EU forums.
- coordinate with legal, tax, sustainability, operations and commercial teams across Zone Europe.
- align the Government Relations network on strategic EU priorities.
- turn complex regulatory developments into clear business recommendations.
- drive ESG engagement and advocacy communications across channels.
- support capability building, including EU training and AI tools for EU affairs.
In this role, you report to the Head of Zone Europe Government Relations & ESG Engagement, and join the Zone Europe Government Relations & ESG Engagement team.
What will make you successful
- 3–5 years’ experience in EU affairs, government relations or public policy.
- strong understanding of EU institutions, policymaking and advocacy.
- good knowledge of the food industry, its supply chain and policy landscape.
- ability to work across functions and influence diverse stakeholders.
- experience developing and delivering advocacy or corporate affairs strategies.
- strong analytical and project management skills.
- excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- master’s degree in a relevant field, fluent English and one additional European language.
