Position Summary
The Key Account Manager is responsible for the commercial development of Nespresso Professional for large customers. He/she is in charge of acquiring new national accounts and developing existing (inter)national accounts for the ‘Office’ and ‘Horeca’ Channel. He/she executes the channel strategy and implements commercial and marketing activities to (over)-achieve yearly objectives whilst not exceeding the yearly agreed budgets. In the end, he/she ensures the profitability of his/her total customer portfolio. There will be a strong focus on portfolio growth, so the ideal candidate must have a strong natural curiosity to develop new business, both in existing as new strategic channels. A strong relevant network in the coffee business is therefore a plus.
A day in the life of a Key Account Manager
- Build your yearly portfolio Strategy and Account plans
- Acquire new large accounts by activating your prospection plan and leveraging your network
- Develop existing accounts by setting a clear account plan & strategy
- Establish your monthly sales forecast, analysis and communicate the results. Take appropriate actions to hit the Business KPI’s
- Develop your customers activities in collaboration with the Out of Home support teams (Marketing, Sales support, customer relationship center)
- Analyze and know the market, future trends and developments by a hands-on approach and a strong network of important market actors, trendsetters and decision makers
- Bring the right value speech and offer all support needed to convince prospects to sign up for Nespresso and assure a smoothless onboarding by being the SPOC for the portfolio in charge of
- Manage your own budget (allowances, commercial gestures, ...) and offer support to the co-pilot to set accruals and manage the kickback bonuses
What Will Make You Successful
- Master degree in commercial, sales, marketing, economics
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of (key account) sales experience with proven track in previous sales roles. Other business experiences are an asset (Marketing, Business Development)
- Fluent in Dutch and French with a good command of English.
- Persistent and convincing skills
- Excellent Stakeholder & (customer) Project management skills
- Outstanding communication and captivating presentation skills
- Rigorous, disciplined, and structured
- Challenge the “Status Quo” & work across the boundaries
- Affinity with premium brands is a plus
- Strong network within relevant industries is a plus
