Position summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Trade Marketing Specialist to join our Category Management team for a 6-month paid internship.
As part of Purina, a company committed to enriching the lives of pets and the people who love them, you will contribute to supporting a diverse portfolio of well‑known pet care brands such as Felix, Gourmet, Purina ONE, Pro Plan, and Beyond, all driven by our mission to create richer lives for pets through nutrition, science, and care.
In this role, you will be responsible for strengthening our in-store footprint with our existing customer base, including FMCG and Specialists retailers. You will work closely with the Shopper Marketing Manager in Nestlé & Purina to improve our in-store presence.
Your Responsibilities:
- As trade marketing specialist, you coordinate the development of POS materials, in collaboration with external partners and the purchase department
- You develop impactful creative offline/store communication to change shopper behavior & are our team communication specialist, developing category communication by segment
- Take ownership of the content creation process during internal meetings with the Purina Team and cross-business Nestlé meetings
- Creation of cashpoints and coupons for promotions in-store, coordinating with external partners and the sales department
- Streamline EU support and offered services within our Belgian organization
- Track our visibility and competition's visibility offline and monitor competition's offline activities
- Help the category managers with planograms for customers
- Support the shopper marketing manager daily, managing briefings between brand managers and suppliers
What Will Make You Successful?
- You are Fluent in French and /or Dutch, and Fluent in English
- You have obtained or are currently pursuing a degree in Economics, Sales, Communication, Marketing, or a related field
- You are a junior professional, with a hands-on approach and ideally a previous internship experience
- You are rigorous, proactive and autonomous, able to manage several projects simultaneously
- You possess great interpersonal skills
- You are proficient in the Microsoft Office Pack, especially Outlook and PowerPoint
Please note that the scope of responsibilities may evolve during the internship period.
We can only accept students not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium.
