Position Summary

 

To strengthen our department of Demand & Supply (division Operations) we are looking for a Demand & Supply Planner.

As our Demand & Supply Planner, you will be in charge of one or several brands of our portfolio.

The essence of your job is to ensure the correct forecasting of sales to maintain high customer service at the lowest stock level.

As such, you actively contribute to the monthly Business Planning Process where you will represent supply chain in meetings with the sales, marketing, CCSD and finance .

You also drive the stocks of your portfolio with the supplychains of the factories and/or the exporting markets.

A day in the life of a Demand & Supply Planner

 

  • You stand for an efficient and profitable inventory management in order to guarantee clients an optimal service. You preserve a good balance between min and max stock in function of product fluctuation and stability.

  •  You make sure that your most important internal customers, Marketing and Sales, are able to execute their promotions in optimal conditions.

  • Using the Marketing and Sales input, you make accurate sales forecasts. Based in Brussels, the Supply Chain Department supports the production and demand planning, for which you try and cover the Benelux market needs as well as possible.

  • Besides the follow up and achievement of the necessary KPIs, you report on a regular basis and you have the final responsibility for the weekly and monthly planning & forecasting   (forecast reviews, gap review...).

  • You take part in various projects with regard to planning and supply chain optimisation.

  • You are responsible for keeping up to date the masterdata

  • You build and maintain good relations with your internal clients in order to guarantee optimal collaboration and you act as flexible as possible.

What will make you successful

 

  • A person with at least 3 years of experience in a similar function or in a relevant function in Demand & Supply Planning - Supply Chain Management
  • a teamplayer, who is client focused. You have a commercial mindset and a hands on approach.
  • a stress resistant personality, able to multitask in a hectic environment with changing priorities.
  • a professional with a strong analytical mindset and who likes to take initiatives.

 

You also have

  • An analytical background, preferably a Master in business, commerce, logistics or supply chain
  • you have a professional knowledge of English and preferably speak at Dutch and/or French.
  • you have thorough knowledge of Excel. Knowledge of SAP and APO is a plus.
