Position Summary

 

We have a great opportunity in our Purina Sales Team!

As Sales Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting ours sales Team and office activities.

You will support the organization and the development of the department by being in constant contact with our Sales Field team in order to follow up their activity, and also with our existing (and new) customers.

A day in the life of...

 

  • Support to the overall Purina Specialist Organization
    • Meeting organization (E.g. Fields meetings, promo meetings, ...)
    • First point of contact for other departments for the administrative sales functioning of the department (Customer Services, Accounts Receivable, Consumer Services, Procurement, Demand & Supply, Legal,...)
    • Make propositions to develop new guidelines/workflows/processes and to improve existing guidelines/workflows/processes, develop & implement the approved propositions, establish procedures & control the application.
    • Order office supplies 
  • Support the Sales Specialist Team: 
    • First point of contact for direct & indirect customers, prospects. (give info, solve problems, propose solutions): price info, product info, Trade activities, free goods, box deliveries, DHL-day by day, deliveries and stock info's, nutritional info's..
    • Daily follow up of the Purina mailbox
    • Ensure business communication to end customers on  changes in product assortment, prices & promotions, out of stocks, actualizing autonomously internal databases & files
    • Provide administrative support to the Field Sales Team. 
    • Maintain, update and communicate sales reportings by customers, for internal & external purpose.
  • Upon required participate to continuous improvement initiatives for the benefit of the organization

What will make you successful

 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in administrative and sales related jobs
  • Very good language skills (Dutch, French, English)
  • Strong communication skills, also proactively towards customers
  • Rigorous, can manage priorities and follow up deadlines 
  • Service/customer oriented - curious - eager to understand issues 
  • Very good working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook - Excel, at ease with functionalities - Powerpoint)
  • Working successfully in a diverse Team
