Procurement Finance Controller

Location: Bryanston 
Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree and/or Honours in BCom Accounting or equivalent Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in Manufacturing cost environment

Position Summary:
Provide efficient, effective and accurate costing support and advice to meet business (corporate & factory) objectives. Provide visibility around costs (detail on raw & packing materials) related to the manufacturing processes through the driving of relevant analysis and reporting (monitoring of the budget and controlling the variances) and ensure adherence to statutory and NAS requirements.


A day in the life a Procurement Finance Controller:
•    Ensure that the Nestle Costing Standards Guidelines and Methodologies are observed and applied consistently
•    Coordinate in reporting of actuals (including organizing and overseeing timeliness and accuracy of period-end close) for Cost of goods, ensure transparency of this process; follow up and monitoring of progress to close gaps ensuring Nestle financial policies, Accounting Standards and Costing Standards are followed.
•    Participate in business planning; prepare and coordinate the Procurement budget for raw & packing materials with Procurement management; Perform monthly forecasts and simulations if needed
•    Seek and support costing improvement opportunities, be an active contributor to improvement projects and initiatives. Participate on project teams in order to ensure validation, review and propose savings are accurately tracked
•    Develop, control and ensure robust evaluations of capital investment ate suppliers (incl. any embedded leases)
•    Monitor and analyse exchange rate and commodities movements, and report and communicate routinely any major changes and impacts
•    Ensure supplier payment terms are aligned to Nestle principles and accounting standards. Validate exclusions in the DO report and analyse DPO report with FICO
•    Coordinate with D&SP, Finance and Factories to ensure Working Capital is well managed and improvement opportunities are identified.
•    Ongoing Stakeholder management with BU Controllers, Factory Controllers and BEOs for ongoing visibility and management of risks and opportunities on Raw Material and Packaging fluctuations
Operational:
o    Perform daily & weekly system integrity checks
o    Co-ordination and involvement in new product development.
o    Creating visibility on ageing stock, to assist with the reduction of factory write offs
o    Give costing guidance and support to factories, business units & corporate, supporting Supply Chain Controller by preparing monthly reports on key issues for feedback to the business.
o    Test and validate new costing functionalities, tools and solutions
o    Ensure the development, implementation and compliance with internal controls. SPOC FPPV, I-Nexus and Ariba
 
 What will make you successful?
•    Bachelor’s Degree or Honours Degree in BCom Accounting or appropriate financial qualification 
•    Minimum of 2 years’ experience in manufacturing costing environment
•    Microsoft office application and strong Excel skills
•    Customer Service orientation
•    Strong analytical skills, rigorous
•    Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
•    Ensuring accuracy and quality of master data by maintaining integrity of SAP to meet business needs and processes.
