Position Summary 

 

Nespresso Romania is looking for a colleague for the position of Controlling Specialist. This person will act as a key contributor to all decision support activities. They will assist in creating transparency and generating information to support the decision-making process and steering the Nespresso business. Activities will include the preparation and distribution of timely, accurate, and relevant management reports, as well as the preparation of various ad-hoc analyses in coordination with the Business Controller.

 

A day in the life of a Controlling Specialist

  • Ensure timely and first-time quality reporting to the Group Company, providing comprehensive feedback to inquiries raised by the Business.

  • Monitor and follow up on P&L lines, including actuals and forecasts.

  • Perform cost allocations across departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.

  • Conduct variance analysis and support budget owners in managing their budgets, ensuring transparency and accuracy for key stakeholders.

  • Oversee budget monitoring, follow up with budget holders, and assist teams with pre- and post-evaluations for campaigns.

  • Identify, evaluate, and follow up on cost-saving initiatives to enhance financial efficiency.

  • Prepare and support the planning process, including the preparation of budget files and Dynamic Forecasts (monthly) for reporting, while developing tools to facilitate the budgeting process.

  • Execute closing activities in accordance with the PEC calendar, including the preparation and review of accruals.

  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support all business functions, thereby increasing operational efficiency.

  • Drive continuous improvement of processes and workflows to enhance efficiency.

  • Assist in providing documentation and preparing for audit requirements.

 

What will make you successful? 

  • University Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economy
  • Advanced knowledge of controlling tools
  • Good understanding of accounting processes
  • Knowledge of accounting policies
  • Knowledge and good understanding of analytical dimensions and budget structures
  • Advanced English
  • Prior experience in a similar role, FMCG experience is considered a plus.
