Position Snapshot
- Location: Budapest IX. district and home office
- Education: Finance or Economics University degree + Registered Chartered Accountant
- Experience: 4-5 years experience in accounting – experience in IFRS and statutory accounting; Good knowledge of management, costing and financial accounting methods; 2-3 years leadership experience
- Languages: English & Hungarian: fluent
Position Summary
Manage the Accounting Department effectively so that the company’s transactions are accurately recorded and the internal and statutory reporting requirements are completed within the established timescales. Responsible for overall Balance Sheet Integrity in the market.
A day in the life of a Chief Accountant...
- Plan and manage the work of the Accounting Operations so that resources are effectively utilized and established timescales, procedures and standards met. Establish and implement procedures and standards for financial reporting so that all company transactions are accurately and promptly recorded
- Manage the cooperation with Nestlé Business Service Center (NBS) with influence on their performance and behaviors
- Ensure compliance by cooperation with internal and external audit partners and ensure/prepare required materials and analysis (group and statutory reports), coordinates the financial audits within the company
- Management responsibilities - coach, lead, control, motivate direct or indirect subordinates, support with trainings and development plans
- Investigate and recommend improvements to the company’s financial systems
1. Closing & Financial Reporting responsibilities
- Manages period-end close process, ensures accurate and timely financial reporting in cooperation with Nestlé Business Service Center (NBS)
- Preparation and submission of statutory reports
- Full responsibility of final reports and balance sheet reconciliations
2. Accounting Operations
- Plan and manage the work of the AO team so that resources are effectively utilized and established timescales, procedures and standards met.
- Investigate continuous improvement initiatives.
3. Accounts Payables
- Plan and manage the work of the AP team so that resources are effectively utilized and established timescales, procedures and standards met.
- Investigate continuous improvement initiatives.
4. Accounts Receivables
- Plan and manage the work of the AR team so that resources are effectively utilized and established timescales, procedures and standards met.
- Investigate continuous improvement initiatives.
What will make you successful?
- Registered Chartered Accountant – mandatory for financial statement preparation
- Strong knowledge of IFRS
- Microsoft Office: advanced
- Trainings: yearly obligatory charted account courses
- Management skills
