Position Summary

 

To enhance and strengthen Nestlé’s corporate reputation with external and internal stakeholders; to create a communications environment that fosters positive attitude, openness, engagement and exceptional performance; to build recognition of Nestlé as the leading NHW organisation; to enhance CSV objectives; to influence regulatory policy to facilitate business operations.


A day in the life of a Corporate Communication & Media Relations Manager...

 

  • Develop, design and implement Nestlé's country level PR communication strategy in line with global and ZONE playbooks and communication strategies (e.g. school and digital NHK programs) – in close cooperation with Sustainability Manager, Junior Corporate Communications Manager, Internal Communication manager and Market Nutritionist. Ensure and follow-up the proper implementation of PR communications strategy.
  • Define and implement Sustainability & Community communication strategy, initiatives and successful stories to drive Nestlé´s perception of leader in the area.
  • Lead and implement integrated communication plan by pulling together category brands communication plans, build up cross links between category brands and Nestlé corporate brand communication.
  • Collaborates with relevant internal stakeholders (eBusiness, Marketing, Sales, CDT at local or CEE level) as well as external partners (agencies, suppliers, platforms) to ensure effective day-to-day execution of corporate PR strategy. Produce a wide range of accurate and high-quality external communication materials (based on CEE and Zone requirements when it is relevant).
  • Accelerate and inspire cross work between corporate team communication and category brand team communication + factory communication.
  • Co-ordinate different communication channels to ensure consistency of messages. Support and advise internal stakeholders in their internal as well as external communication activities.
  • Prepare concept for key external stakeholder events and manage their implementation.
  • Media Relations Management, organize media interviews and press releases, support spokespeople through preparation and documentation. Manage Nestlé's media monitoring- and corporate PR communication agency.
  • Issue and Crises Communication Management, manage Issue and Crisis Communication both externally and internally in cooperation with the issue and crisis management team.
  • Plan and manage annual budget accordingly in all cost centers related to its activities.

 

 

What will make you successful?

 

  • 5+ years of communications experience and experience with senior leadership on communications (multinational environment / FMCG experience is an advantage)
  • Experience in journalism or an external communication agency desirable
  • Solid corporate communication experience (3+ years) and experience with senior leadership on communications 
  • Strong Digital & Social Marketing expertise (2-3 years)
  • 3+ years of experience in relevant roles, including participating in CSV and/or other social and environmental activities for companies, local NGOs or international organizations
  • Demonstrated track record of public affairs and stakeholder relations experience, relevant market expertise, as well as communication skills
  • Affinity to social issues (tackling the issue of climate change)
  • Proven track record in delivering strategic PR communications campaigns. Broad and practical understanding of key digital concepts in the areas of Media (both traditional and classic), Websites, Social, Search, Marketing Analytics
  • Project management skills
  • Strong relationship management skills, leadership skills and ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills that balance persuasive communication and respect for others
