POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Store Room Clerk Technician is responsible for the administration of the stores’ operations supporting the maintenance function and providing service to other organizational units. The Store Room Clerk directly supervises the stores supervisor and is responsible for the determination of the overall inventory level, minimum/maximum levels and the requisitioning, storage and control of all material stocked in the storeroom. In addition, the Store Room Clerk is responsible for the preparation, distribution, and updating of the stores’ catalog—hard copy and/or on-line. The Storekeeper is responsible for the maximum use of all resources under his/her control.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities:
- Receives stores, issues, and controls all materials required for operation and maintenance of the factory.
- Responsible for receipt, recording and stocking of part for use in the facility and continuing verification of the accuracy of the inventory values.
- Complete Cycle Counting reports and counting and provides input and support to improve accuracy.
- Interact with maintenance and production associates and their supervisors in
coordinating parts and supplies processes. - Follows up and expedites materials requisitions to assist in the timely delivery of materials.
- Maintain an adequate tool control system.
- Ensures that an adequate and usable supply of tools is available for use by the maintenance personnel.
- Maintains an adequate system for physically locating and storing materials and tool items.
- Credits the receipt of unused materials to the appropriate work order number.
- Prepares paper work necessary for the control of materials.
- Participate in Stock Room CDM Team
- Provide continuous technical support to reduce out of stock and increase inventory
turns value.
- Maintain proper location and storage for all items in a manner that makes searches and retrievals through the CMMS possible.
COST:
- Assist in developing and maintaining the department’s annual budget through effective use of min/max reorder points and price comparisons to achieve the department’s cost/ton and material spend/ton targets.
- Inspect parts on receipt to ensure their quality. Monitor monthly inventory turnover and values.
SAFETY:
- Ensures that the storerooms and stores’ warehouses are maintained in a safe, orderly and clean condition
- Assist the department in promoting and abiding by all safety rules.
- Identify and raise awareness about hazards in the work place.
- Compliance with OSHA, Nestle, USDA, FDA and all other applicable regulations.
TRAINING:
- Prepare and update the equipment parts and instruction manuals
- Assist in training Associates on MAXIMO and SAP-AMM
ENVIRONMENTAL
Overall site coordination for receipts and shipments of hazardous chemicals and waste
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports directly to Maintenance Store Room Supervisor
SUPERVISION GIVEN: Provide support to maintenance personnel as required.
FINANCIAL/STRATEGIC IMPACT: Maintain spending within approved budget. Implementation of GLOBE related maintenance systems. Increase maintenance effectiveness and reduce maintenance costs.
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
Knowledge of CMMS is a preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3 to 5 years experience working in Maintenance.
- SKILLS:
- Personal computers, calculator, other normal office equipment and ladders.
- Strong leadership, communication (interpersonal, written and verbal) and computer skills. Logical approach to maintenance improvements. Strong organizational skills for multiple tasks.
The approximate pay range for this position is $43,000 to 52,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
