LOCATION: Onsite in the Burlington, WI Factory 

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Operations Technology Specialist is responsible for supporting the factory digital projects implementation and, in maintaining the reliability and functionality of in-house (factory floor and administrative) computer hardware, software, network, and communication systems. Responsibilities include the assigned installation, configuring, maintenance and documentation of in-house computer software, databases, and reporting systems. Lead/coordination of implementations of new and enhanced corporate directed applications, software and hardware. 

 

 This position has the following physical requirements: 
•    Walking long distances within the factory and warehouse(s)
•    Server room temperature fluctuations under and above 85 degrees F
•    Factory floor temperature fluctuation cold/hot
•    Lifting equipment with support such as printers, servers, switches.
•    Holidays are aligned with the factory schedule
•    Working in an environment with allergens including but not limited to chocolate.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Lead and Manage Factory Floor IT and Digital deployment projects (such as DMO or manufacturing systems) and implementing new and enhanced hardware, software, network, security, and communications systems.
•    Establish and lead the coordination, collaboration, and communications with key stakeholders (factory leadership team, OT Peers, product owners, etc.) related to IT solution issues\outages impacting production processes through resolution.
•    Utilize and promote Agile ways of working and lead multi-factory scrums, sprint planning, and backlog refinement and support on Workload management and prioritization with the team  
•    Maintain reliability and provide continuous improvement to eliminate unplanned outages of factory floor IT solutions and support the goals and objectives of the factory while ensuring communication, ownership and resolution takes place. 
•    Provide service, direction, and\or training on the correct process and procedures to resolve internal factory request related to IT\OT systems.
•    Provide technical expertise and support for existing and future factory computer related hardware, factory floor data collection systems, and business information systems.
•    Professionally service user's requests for new and enhanced information systems complying with organizational policies and direction.
•    Lead the factory in the maintenance of and comply with company data backup, disaster recovery, software licensing, compliance, security, and authorization policies.
•    Provide demand-based off -hours technical support in alignment with factory off-hours support requirements. 
•    Develops and maintains technological skill sets as related to the factory computer systems operation.  

 

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
•    Technical Degree in Computer Science, IT Management, or similar, required
•    5+ years of Manufacturing\Factory experience preferred.
 

 SKILLS:
•    2 - 3 years of Project Management experience
•    Certified SCRUM Master, preferred
•    Systems Operations (Servers, PCs, Local Area Networking, Mobile Devices, Factory Automation Systems)
•    SAP experience, preferred
•    Windows operating systems (Microsoft Certification Preferred)
•    Cisco IOS (Cisco Certification Preferred)

 

 Knowledge in 5 or more of the following areas: 
•    Asset management / Inventory management 
•    Windows 10/11 desktop OS troubleshooting 
•    Windows server administration 16 / 19 
•    Active directory administration 
•    Experience with IOT devices 
•    iPad apple, JAMF, MDM 
•    Technical reading and writing ability. 
•    Printer trouble shooting LaserJet and ribbon printers 
•    Basic IP telephony 
•    Basic networking concepts. layers 1 & 2 (Cisco) 
•    Microsoft application experience.
