What You Can Expect

 

The Sr. Human Resources (HR) Coordinator ensures efficient, smooth operational functioning of the HR Department at a large factory. This role provides administrative and clerical support and coordinates various projects.

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

 

HR Services & Support

  • Provide administrative assistance to the HR Team, including answering phone calls, creating communication memos, maintaining department files, and scheduling meetings.
  • Coordinate meetings and food arrangements as directed by the Human Resources Team.
  • Provide administrative support to HR staff as needed.
  • Coordinate administrative activities required to onboard and exit employees, including (as applicable) acting as the ITC for your client group, managing floor/cube assignments for the group you support, and maintaining related records.
  • Maintain and track department expenses for supplies and other purchases.
  • Continue to create and innovate processes to support the evolution of ways of working.
  • Administer site-level ownership of payroll activities as needed by location.
  • Support the HR team with recruitment activities for all position levels within the location.

 

Reporting & Payroll System Management

 

  • Oversee payroll and leave issues for a large-sized site.
  • Provide Kronos and timekeeping subject-matter expertise on payroll and reporting to ensure accurate employee data and tracking.
  • Prepare and maintain reports from SAP Master Data, including new-hire and absentee reports.
  • Maintain and update company organizational charts.
  • Manage the job posting system for the site and track employee position movement from beginning to end.
  • Complete other projects and responsibilities as assigned, including announcements, rosters, employee contact lists, PTO calendars, periodic/special report analysis, and annual projects such as succession planning review materials, talent review materials, and audit reports.

 

Employee Relations

 

  • Plan, lead, and manage several employee and community events per year, ensuring each event reflects the company’s image, culture, and mission.
  • Assist with coordination and administration of cultural assimilation groups and events.

 

Resources & Support

 

  • The Coordinator will report directly to the HR Manager.

 

Qualifications

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college education preferred.
  • Two years of administrative assistant experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

 

Skills

 

  • Understands and has the ability to learn the role and responsibilities of the position.
  • Exercise and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to anticipate problems and embrace a solution-oriented approach, especially in the absence of management.
  • Strong time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Visio.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Ability to communicate to a broad audience of stakeholders and/or members of leadership.
  • Knowledge of SAP is helpful, as well as the ability to learn new computer programs.
