Job Title: Maintenance Engineer (Days Based) 
Location: Buxton, Derbyshire  

Work Pattern: Mon- Fri – 37.5 hours a week.


Salary: £50,000 depending on experience + potential bonus + generous pension scheme + generous holiday entitlement + 2 paid volunteering days + other fantastic benefits!

We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer, to join our Nestle Waters team based at our state-of-the-art production facility in Buxton.

A day in the life of a Maintenance Engineer

As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our production lines are operating at peak performance. Your skills and expertise will be crucial in keeping our factory running as efficiently as possible.  

 

Responsibilities will include:
 

  • Being responsible for the creation of planned and predictive maintenance plans.
  • Support Breakdowns and participate in line improvements across the factory, as you become the Subject Matter Expert for your selected area.
  • Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practice standards in respect of plant, tools and environment.
  • Ensure compliance with the Nestlé quality policy particularly engineering change management and line release.
  • Recording of breakdowns, root cause analysis and taking ownership of follow up actions.
  • Supporting root cause analysis practices and projects.
  • Supporting the capability build of both the Shift Technicians and the Apprentice Technicians.
  • Support and develop the AM team following our TPM roadmap on site.

The person that is successful in this role will be driven to drive improvement across our warehouse and production facility.

 

This opportunity provides development individually and as part of a highly skilled team.

Other experiences and attributes would include:

 

  • Qualified to NVQ level 3/City & Guilds in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Desirable experience working with blow moulding equipment and compressed air
  • Ability to influence by having strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and build capability. 
  • Ability to communicate across all levels and work on own initiative.
  • Manage and prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of problem-solving methodology such as DMAIC, RCA.
  • PLC’s, Siemens desirable, but not essential.
