Position Summary:
The credit supervisor position is accountable for the entire credit management process, including the consistent application of a credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers, and the assessment of the credit worthiness of potential customers, with the goal of optimizing the mix of company sales and bad debt losses. He/She determines the company's debt collection strategy and oversees its effective execution. He/She will be also responsible for the Price maintenance (ZPR8, PIR2 and PIR3 ) in collaboration with NBS Cairo Pricing Team.
Collaborates with NiM F&C Manager to ensure credit management processes are followed as per policy and system set-up are optimized ad automated to ensure timeless of credit processes
A DAY IN THE LIFE …
- Review and propose Credit parameters for calculation of Credit limit and risk category taking in account various sources of financial data
- Ensures timely and accurate processing and payment of invoices. Receives and posts cash receipts and reconciles outstanding account balances. Prepares periodic reports on accounts receivable and determines overdue accounts status. Sends follow-up inquires and works with the collections team on the restructuring of overdue accounts repayment.
- Drives and monitors the credit reviews for new and existing customers, the determination of their credit limits and their assignment to risk categories
- Accountable for release/reject of sales orders due to credit issues
- Responsible for the implementation, reviewing and maintenance of a comprehensive Market Credit policy, together with the Market Credit Committee, in alignment with MENA and Global Credit framework.
- Responsible for reviewing parameters and relative weight affecting the calculation of credit limit and risk category as well as credit filters/checks and tolerance to be used by customer
- Responsible to set up guidelines and market policy for cash discounts, and Early payment discount and late payment penalties
- Ensures that the customer portfolio underlying credit risk is in line with agreed company's ability to carry risk
- Define and monitor the consistent application of credit terms across the businesses (e.g. payment terms, credit risks & limits)
- Defines the collection strategy (e.g. Prioritization Criteria, Escalation Procedure) and oversees its executional adherence via CoS (NBS Caio) and CoC
- Manages in close collaboration with Sales and the Service Strategy Unit the relationship with the customer for credit related items to reduce exposure to potential bad debt.
- Ensures regular and effective reporting of the Key Performance (KPIs/Health Checks / Forecast) and Credit Management and Collection activities to minimize risk and proactively identify problem areas using analytical tools / Excel. Oversees KPIs and involved in Credit Management and Collections processes
- Proposes the rules of calculating doubtful allowances (provisions) and reviews whether the criterions of writing off bad debts are met.
- Define the rules, if any, for the CoS (O2C NBS Cairo) Credit Analyst within which he/she can have authority to release blocked sales orders, set and update customer credit limits and risk categories.
- Review and escalate as needed to customer Contact & Issue Resolution when the Credit order block requires a customer contact.
- Responsible for the Price maintenance (ZPR8, PIR2 and PIR3 ) in collaboration with NBS Cairo Pricing Team.
ARE YOU A FIT?

- 2-3 years of experience
- Strong knowledge in Credit & Risk Management Area
- Experience with Credit & Risk modeling supporting Credit Management decisions
- F&B Background is a plus
- Experience in Microsoft Office Tools
