Job Description – DSP Excellence Steward

Department: Planning Service Center – Nestlé Egypt NBS
Location: Cairo


Main Purpose of the Job

The DSP Excellence Steward is the guardian of the Demand & Supply Planning (DSP) process, responsible for driving end‑to‑end cross‑functional business planning and process optimization. The role ensures regional compliance to global standards, promotes best practices, and aligns ways of working across categories. Additionally, the DSP Excellence Steward builds and strengthens the DSP community’s capabilities, enabling continuous improvement and elevating demand and supply planning performance across the region.


Key Responsibilities

Process Governance & Standardization

  • Deploy and maintain DSP best practices, tools, and standardized processes across all categories.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of defined DSP solutions and adherence to global and regional standards.
  • Establish clear, consistent, and compliant data standards across DSP activities.

Performance Management

  • Review monthly DSP performance metrics, identifying gaps and developing improvement action plans with relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor compliance with planning standards, ensuring alignment with demand and supply planning KPIs.

Capability Building & Community Development

  • Strengthen DSP capabilities through training, coaching, and knowledge sharing across the region.
  • Build, maintain, and engage a strong DSP community to support capability growth and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure DSP team members receive adequate training on new processes, methodologies, and systems.

Continuous Improvement & Project Leadership

  • Lead and support cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives within the PSC and across markets.
  • Collaborate with DSP Managers, PSC Excellence teams, and markets not served by PSCs to share best practices and harmonize processes.
  • Drive simplification of complex processes and support operational excellence.

Stakeholder Management

  • Engage internal functions (Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, IT, Integrated Business Services) to ensure alignment of business needs and planning processes.
  • Manage SLAs between the PSC and NBS hub to ensure service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, partners, and industry networks for benchmarking, innovation, and future insights.

Required Skills & Experience

Professional Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in demand and/or supply planning with strong understanding of forecasting, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
  • 2+ years of people management experience, including team leadership, coaching, and performance management.
  • 2+ years of experience in process optimization and project management, with proven ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and deliver results.

Academic Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or Economics (required).
