By Supporting the Supply Chain Controller as a trusted analyst on a day to day as well as on a long-term strategic view. Provide visibility around costs related to the Distribution & Procurement processes through the driving of relevant analysis and reporting (monitoring of the budget and controlling the variances), ensure adherence to financial legal requirements and NAS.

 

A DAY IN THE LIFE …

Business Planning          

  • Lead the Procurement annual budget and monthly forecast preparation for the Direct Materials spend, liaising with the Procurement Managers to have the first-time quality input.
  • Perform monthly variance analysis and commentary on Purchase Prices projection of Direct Materials and present to the management on the key changes in Purchase Prices and the impact on Procurement Spends.
  • Drive Distribution Costs annual budget and monthly forecast build up with the factories and markets and provide analysis to the Supply Chain Management on MENA Distribution Costs projections highlighting the opportunities for optimization and potential risks.
  • Perform allocation of the Distribution Costs budget/forecast to the business categories and analyze the changes in the projection at business level, and present to the Business Unit Controllers in the monthly forecast review meeting.

Reporting and Analytics

  • Manage factory and market reporting of actuals and forecasts of Distribution Costs; coordinate reporting of actuals and forecast for Procurement; ensure transparency, accuracy and timeliness of this process; follow up and monitor progress to close gaps,
  • Ensuring Nestle Accounting Standards and Costing Standards are followed by promoting ownership of data at source.
  • Perform monthly Procurement Spend, Distribution Costs and Bad Goods variance analysis of Actual YTD vs Plan vs Prior Year.

Procurement Control

  • Ensure full transparency of Procurement costs and financial impact to the organization.
  • Monitor and analyze exchange rate and commodities movements, and report and communicate routinely any major changes and impacts.
  • Ensure supplier payment terms are aligned to Nestle principles and accounting standards.
  • Promote and ensure ownership of data at source and ensure processes are in place to validate, and correct errors when necessary.

 Internal Control & Compliance

  • Ensure clear control and visibility of assets and liabilities, including the development, implementation and compliance with internal controls. Participate in routine audit activities in the distribution area, in particular inventory by performing routine audit activities to ensure compliance on critical areas eg)
  • Nestle Accounting Standard, Costing Standards, statutory accounting/tax, OPEX guideline and appropriately escalate business risks.
  • As the Champion of compliance & risk management is actively involved in internal and external audits within Distribution & Procurement.   

Cash Flow & Continuous Improvement          

  • Support in identifying cost improvement opportunities, be an active contributor to improvement projects and initiatives, validate, review and track proposed OPEX savings.

 

What will make you successful.

    • University Degree in Business/Finance
    • 4-5 years of experience in Accounting / Finance function (e.g.: Costing, Factory controlling, Accounts payable and FP&A) ideally within a factory or supply chain
    • Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry experience
    • Proficiency in English and language of the market (where applicable)
    • Experience in a network organization with cross-functional stakeholders
    • Strong communicator, both orally and written; able to articulate a well-developed point of view.
