Title: IMS Planner

Location: Cairo, Egypt

 

Main Purpose of Job

 

To manage the Supply Network of the assigned area of the business by replenishing each dispatch point to meet customer service objectives whilst maintaining optimal stock cover with high freshness that takes into account the distribution costs.

 

A DAY IN THE LIFE …

  • Supply planning: Analyze and evaluate the supply plan and net dispatch requirements to satisfy customer needs taking into account the network complexity and the supply constraints (FG & all Accessories like cups, sugar sticks etc), GAC consolidation Hub requirement planning and stock allocation to all OPC's.

 

  • Supply planning: Establish track/ trace file for all active direct local market suppliers (scope outside of IMS Control Tower) and align with Inbound Team in OPC's.

 

  • Long Term planning: Share monthly, dynamic forecast for 12-18months with all Co-Manufacturing, Sub-contracting sites considering the phase in phase out, discontinued materials to align on dispatch plans from factories.

 

  • Inventory Management: Balance the need for product availability versus the need to minimize costs of inventory to ensure optimum stocks of the right material in the right location.

 

  • Exception Management: Analyze exceptions, adjust planning results, prioritize stock planning to OPC's, alignment with all OPC's on direct supply process. Share with IMPEX on all new co-man vendor sites to be included for track/ trace of shipments.

 

  • Establish and periodically review stock policies for Finished Goods with all suppliers (domestic and intermarket) stock level of receiving markets to pro-actively look for solutions in case of deviations.

 

  • Analyze and effectively communicate relevant information to respective Stakeholders. Highlighting all supply issues in proper advance. Detailing impacts of proposed actions and related tradeoffs.  Ensuring actions and Supply Plans are realistic and achievable in accordance with the Business Planning process

 

  • Establish governance with Procurement team to set up contracts on time, regularly update with new prices, increased quantities along with Inco terms to allow PO creation and sharing with suppliers.

 

  • Challenge Factories to manage lot sizes, cycle times to drive optimum FG inventory and required Freshness level. Also challenge Demand Planner in OPC's to improve Demand Planning Accuracy

 

  • Alignment with MENA Transport team on Freight forwarders to be used for all co manufacturing sites based on the agreed in co terms.

 

  • Ensures proper Master Data settings (Supply network, triangular table etc) and Event Management related SNP visibility (launches, re-launches, discontinuations, Phase in Phase out)

 

 

 

 

ARE YOU A FIT?

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or other relevant Studies, MBA is a plus
  • 3+ years of relevant operations experience, in at least one of the following areas:

- Factories

- Production

- Foreign Trade

- IMS Factory Logistics

- Other Demand & Supply Planning positions

- OIT (Operations Improvement Team)

  • Helpful to have had exposure in Customer Service
  • FMCG Experience is  plus
