Job title: Clerical / Shipping Desk Assistant (12 Month Contract) 
Location: Caledonia, Ontario, Canada

Position Summary

The primary purpose of the Clerical / Shipping Desk Assistant is to coordinate the flow of information & documentation and provide support during several audits this year as well as assisting in building any corrections needed for audit findings.

A day in the life of...

•    To assist in the building of new Safety processes                 
•    To assist in aligning current Safety processes other Canadian DC’s .
•    To provide coverage at shipping desk to allow for other work to be completed by Shipping Clerk .
•    To assist with the scheduling of 6 audits – ISO 45001 – NMA – Care – Security – Internal Safety     
•    To assist and co-ordinate large volume of information required for NMA this will be a 2 week audit for Caledonia     
•    To assist with the launch of New Safety reporting system Evotix

What will make you successful

As the successful candidate, you will need to be passionate, tenacious, results focused and really enjoy working in a highly energetic and exciting environment. Pro-activity, tenacity and enthusiasm are essential, as is your ability to understand and work within our competitive market. You will also require:

•    College diploma in Business Administration or other related discipline preferred
•    1-3 years’ experience in a customer service role is considered an asset
•    Experience working in a warehouse in a Unionized environment would be a definite asset
•    Strong interpersonal and time management skills
•    Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail with strong initiative, customer service focused attributes
•    Excellent prioritization and communication skills
•    Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Power point required
•    Good computer skills, experience in SAP preferred 
•    Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced environment
