A day in the life of a Finance Analyst

We have an excellent opportunity for an individual to join the small Finance team at Wisbech as a Finance Analyst. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will assist in providing support for the factory and ensuring the production of accurate and timely management information.

 

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

 

  • Reviewing daily, weekly and monthly variances, analysing and investigating background
  • Supporting other functions in getting better understanding of their costs and implications of various actions and decisions.
  • Ensuring data accuracy with regular checks; following up with stakeholders to ensure correction of errors
  • Seeking and supporting cost improvement opportunities, being an active contributor to improvement projects and initiatives. 
  • Reviewing and validating factory reporting of monthly actuals, including providing data for teams across the factory
  • Reviewing and validating period end close reports
  • Assisting in coordination and preparation of budget/forecasts of conversion
What will make you successful

Ideally you will have experience within a Factory finance role however we are happy to consider candidates from other backgrounds. You will either be part qualified or currently be studying for a recognized finance qualification

  • Advanced excel skills
  • Results driven to meet challenging deadlines
  • Attention to detail and prioritisation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Act under own initiative
