Maintenance Methods Engineer

Position Summary

As Maintenance Methods Engineer at Wisbech, you’ll be the main link between operations and the wider engineering community and at the heart of factory operations. You will ensure the condition and reliability of all our equipment allows us to meet the high demands of our customers. You will have strong safety values and TPM at the core of your mind-set.

A day in the life of a Maintenance Methods Engineer

You’ll be part of our maintenance methods and technical support team, making sure all equipment is in working condition for those who operate it. Devising maintenance plans to drive performance and determine the way maintenance is carried out within the team. Your objective will be to make the factory as productive and safe as possible.

 

Other key activities will include:

 

  • Evaluation and implementation of preventive maintenance strategy
  • Training, coaching and assessing maintenance team.
  • Sharing and benchmarking best practices with the wider Nestlé network.
  • Create and ensure compliance with the maintenance budget.
  • Define strategy to the technical store.
  • Define and apply the strategy with 3rd party contractors.
  • Providing weekly maintenance reports.
  • Every day problem solving, GSTD, BDA, RCA, 5Y, Six sigma
  • Supporting the Change Management strategy and driving the associated risk assessments and contingency plans.
What will make you successful

Most importantly, you’ll need to be passionate about helping to drive our TPM journey towards autonomy in our LEAN enterprise.

 

Other key attributes we are looking for are:

 

  • Experience within the technical maintenance field in a corresponding industry, ideally FMCG.
  • SAP knowledge and experience with TPM methodology.
  • A track record of delivering results with cross-functional teams.
  • Process engineering design knowledge.
  • Technical documentation management skills.
  • Knowledge of packaging and associated processes.
  • Good organisation and financial management skills.
