Joining Nestlé’s Campbellfield factory in this 2 year Contract role, the Engineering Manager will provide engineering professional and technical leadership in the Factory. We are looking for an experienced change manager to continue to lead the site’s engineering effectiveness for the next few years until internal succession plans can be realised. 
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Enable high performance Operations, by providing asset Maintenance and people development aligned with Nestlé’s Strategy
  • Develop and coach Engineering competences at the factory (including technical and management competencies, talent review, career and succession planning, etc.)
  • Ensure Production needs are fulfilled and lead the technical competency building activities of production personnel in conjunction with the line masterplans
  • Ensure optimum decisions are made/implemented regarding factory assets (including Investment cycle), in alignment with the Business Strategy.
  • Manage Capital Investments, ensuring justification, request, implementation, start-up and maintainability.
  • Ensure that the electrical services, degree of automation and MES at factory site level, are in line with the Business requirements
  • Ensure optimum and sustainable Operations at factory level, by following the Energy/Water Management approach and respecting SHE policies
  • Drive I&R, initiating/coordinating implementation of new processes/technologies with relevant stakeholders
     

WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 

  • An experienced change manager who can show a record of developing a well formed vision and effectively leading people to commit to its successful implementation
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience, preferably with some food manufacturing & most probably as an Engineering Manager with prior Maintenance Management and Project Management experience. Experience in Production would also be valued.
  • A record of leading a maintenance group to implement an asset care strategy that achieves less than 7% unplanned stops on relatively complex lines
  • Personnel leadership of technical teams, contractors & other 3rd parties
  • Preparation of Investment budgets circa 10 Million, and acquisition of technical equipment (for Production and/or Industrial Services)
  • Self-Management following defined KPIs/Objectives, and proactively tracking them

 

Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and have Permanent Residency.
