Position Summary
An exciting opportunity for a Line Manager to join our Campbellfield Factory. The Campbellfield factory produces confectionery brands such as Kit Kat, Nestlé, Milky Bar, Smarties, Aero, Chokito and many more which delight consumers worldwide.
In this role, the Line Manager will be responsible to deliver the shift / line objectives by empowering and engaging our people to develop their capability and ways of working through NCE implementation.
A day in the life…
Reporting to the Production Manager and leading a team, key responsibilities include:
- Lead the Safety Culture and conditions for a Safe Working Environment.
- nsure that finished products are consistently manufactured according to standards of quality and relevant manufacturing instructions.
- Check and enforce personnel hygiene & safety procedures (e.g PPE, shoe change & hand wash, LOTO, etc.)
- Coach employees to fulfil and exceed the requirements of the job through NCE approach.
- Ensure that the working areas are kept clean and are maintained in working order including all installations in accordance with Nestlé Good Manufacturing Practices (NGMP) and in accordance with TGA GMP.
- Manage Production effectively through operational reviews (SHO, WOR, DOR) and use Standard Routines (SDCA) to ensure sustainable results.
- Use of Basic Problem-solving tools and knowledge sharing (OPLs) to drive continuous improvements.
- Ensure timely launch of new products to the Market as per agreed with the business unit.
- Ensure continuous line Controls and immediate corrective action to assure prescribed quality.
- Ensure ongoing smooth operations of factory through effective employee and industrial relations management.
- Ensure that there is an adequate distribution of skills to enable production plan to be achieved effectively.
- Ensure adequate maintenance of the installations in coordination with quality, engineering & administration.

- Joining a collaborative team of specialists, you will be a proven effective people team leader with a drive to deliver quality outcomes with efficiency and with a passion for continuous process improvement.
- Proved matured knowledge in Food Manufacturing or Degree / Diploma in Food Sciences or Engineering
- 3+ years’ experience relevant to this role.
- Demonstration of Leadership skills in positively confronting inappropriate behaviour and using everyday coaching to ensure involvement of the workforce.
- It is essential that you have excellent people management skills, with a continuous improvement mind-set and demonstrable experience in leading and engaging a team to motivate and enhance performance.
- You will demonstrate strong communication, negotiation, problem solving, analysis, decision-making abilities.
