This is an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Coordinator to join a motivated and professional Quality team at Nestle’s Campbellfield Factory. In this role, the Quality Assurance Coordinator will act as the Quality Champion in the Manufacturing Leadership Team in a geographical area of the factory, supporting quality execution, quality investigation, and driving quality improvement.
A day in the life of...
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Ensure that Quality Improvement opportunities are being captured in the area management routines (i.e. SLC).
- Lead and coach the production and maintenance teams on quality improvement opportunities and quality standards using Q Tagging & Identification methodology.
- Be the QWG Leader for Quality in Manufacturing Improvement Projects, leveraging support from the Quality Specialists where appropriate.
- Ensure investigations are completed for all Quality Incidents (incl: FB complaints, product quality failures, food safety and hygiene incidents.
- Coach production and maintenance teams on the standards of GMP in the manufacturing zone. Ensure action exists to close skills gap, create standards, or to address GMP standard execution.
- Coach execution of Quality Inspections; ensuring that operators are trained, inspections are being completed correctly, and action exists to address gaps. Ensure execution of on-line sensory process.
- Ensure Q Skills Matrices exist for all key roles. Support closure of skills gaps through coaching of Q methodologies or leveraging Quality Specialists to deliver training.
What will make you successful
- Joining a collaborative team, you will be self-motivated, proactive and have a proven capacity to work effectively within a team environment.
- Tertiary qualification in Food Science or related field of study
- Minimum 1+ years' experience as a quality specialist, preferably with SAP experience.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and a proven capacity to influence and negotiate to drive high standards of performance and quality.
- Passionate about working for Nestlé and sharing its purpose.
Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and have Permanent Residency.
