Position Summary
We are currently seeking applications for this position within our Maintenance Engineering team: Technical Store Keeper
As this role is key to supporting our Maintenance Engineering team, the successful candidate will have a valid forklift licence & trades qualification (e.g. mechanical, electrical) or substantial practical experience in engineering.
A day in the life…
As a Technical Storekeeper your primary responsibilities include:
- Execute end-to-end spare parts management processes, including receiving, issuing, storage, and replenishment, to ensure material availability and efficient stock control for technical materials and consumables.
- Monitor and optimise inventory levels by reviewing reorder points in alignment with maintenance strategies.
- Identify and manage slow-moving and obsolete stock to minimise excess inventory and improve stock turnover.
- Maintain effective inventory control practices, including cycle counting and user training to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
- Create and maintain material master data, ensuring accuracy and consistency within SAP.
- Develop and update equipment and functional location Bills of Materials (BOMs) to improve material visibility, support maintenance planning, and reduce downtime.
- Manage purchasing data, including creating & updating purchase order prices and Purchasing Info Records (PIRs), in accordance with Nestlé procurement processes.
- Raise and manage requests through the PIR Buyer Support (K2/IT Service Portal) for master data updates, price changes, and purchase order corrections.
- Monitor and manage purchase order performance, including tracking overdue orders and liaising with suppliers to prevent material shortages and production disruptions.
- Maintain strong housekeeping standards by ensuring 5S routines are consistently followed and executed in accordance with site safety requirements.
- Actively contribute as a Preventive Maintenance (PM) pillar member within the TPM framework.
