We have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team at the Campbellfield factory – HOME OF THE KITKAT. You will be responsible for ensuring competent maintenance management and execution, and to lead the implementation and execution of the factory asset maintenance programme aimed to eliminate unplanned stops and optimise maintenance cost and as a result increase asset intensity.

A day in the life…

 

  • Establish and control maintenance routines to ensure that maintenance activities are scheduled and executed in time with high quality.
  • Lead implementation of the maintenance methodologies (PM pillar, foundations) across factory/department; active member of PM pillar. 
  • Coach and promote breakdown analysis, to reduce/eliminate unplanned stops.
  • Ensures availability of maintenance resources to implement and execute maintenance routines, methodologies.
  • Provide input for annual maintenance budget. 
  • Report and track maintenance budget according to guidelines. Analyse over/under spending and put in place corrective actions.
  • Create and manage competence building plan (CBP) for the team. Organise technical training program for all factory maintenance staff. 
  • Support the implementation AM pillar methodologies.
  • Coordinate production support to eliminate quality defects, safety risks and chronic technical issues.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable standards (ie Hygiene, GMP, TGA)

 

What will make you successful

 

  • Joining a collaborative team, you will be a strong team player with a history of delivering results in a high-pressure environment. 
  • Experience in engineering management (maintenance, industrial, services, E&A), preferably in FMCG related manufacturing environment (min 3 years)
  • Personnel Supervisory experience (min 2 years)
  • Experience working in multifunctional team (i.e. capital projects, DMAIC) preferred.
  • Tertiary qualified in Mechanical Engineering or completion of a recognised trade qualification would be highly regarded
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, especially MS PowerPoint for monthly presentations.  
  • You take pride and responsibility in what you do with strong problem-solving skills and continuous improvement mind-set.
  • Proven ability to actively apply skills in a safe and effective manner.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.

 

Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and have Permanent Residency.
