Senior Operator (Warehouse Specialist) Vacancy

Permanent | Day Shift | Warehouse

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking team member to fill the permanent full time Senior Operator (Warehouse Specialist) role at Campbellfield on Day Shift.

The Warehouse Specialist is a higher duties role and its purpose is to assist the Logistics Line Manager with end-to-end management of materials in the warehouse.

The successful candidate will have initiative and the ability to work alone or within a team. Also critical will be warehouse experience coupled strong computer skills (SAP and MS Excel), an aptitude for problem solving, and good communication skills. Balancing daily operational tasks with continuous improvement activities will be key.

A day in the life…

You will be responsible for, and have the ability to deliver in the following areas:

  • An aptitude for problem solving and work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Assists in inventory management activities end-to-end including pallet / pallecon physical stocktakes, material stocktakes / cycle counts, record and action anomalies and input data as appropriate
  • Perform necessary workplace inspections – racking inspections, cycle counts, monthly workplace inspections, daily health checks, product inspections, etc
  • Receipt material into and out of warehouse maintaining traceability by following correct procedures to maintain a creditable account of inventory
  • Ensure documentation and procedures comply with requirements stipulated in forms and processes (i.e. pallets, invoices, materials inbound & outbound, etc)
  • Controlling dock operations send direct onsite truck drivers to appropriate un/loading doors/docks and driver exclusion zones (when Required)
  • Provide assistance in un/loading of vehicles and containers and picking product from the racking system via forklift (when required)
  • Sampling of materials listed on the sampling list
  • Work safely and within the guidelines of site work instructions including forklift interactions
  • Identify non-conformances and report issues promptly to Logistics Line Manager
  • Adhere to hygiene and housekeeping requirements/
  • Manage the return of material to suppliers/

  • Strong systems skills are a must. Detailed Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft suite (excel, word, outlook)
  • Flexibility to undertake tasks as required by Manager/Line Manager.
  • Warehouse or factory experience.
  • Forklift licence.
