Position Summary:
The role of the Product QA/QC Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day operations of the After Sales Center runs smoothly. They will oversee production, logistics, and supply chain management to ensure that returned products are test, repaired and/or refurbished on time, and all procedures execuded adhere to all requirements specified by Nespresso. Product QA/QC Specialists also analyze data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity. They work closely with other departments such as TQM, sales, marketing, and finance, as well as the After Sales Center to coordinate efforts and achieve common goals.
This position will require the candidate to be onsite full-time at our Charlotte, NC location.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure After Sales Centers (ASC) are trained and proficient in machine designs and functions to be able to install, maintenance, troubleshoot and repair in accordance to procedures for all Nespresso machine models.
- Evaluate the performance and quality of the After Sales Center ensuring adherence and compliance to policies, rules, requirements, outlined by Nespresso Technical & quality Management Team.
- Identify and assess current and future training needs. Develop variety of effective training plans and methods through workshops and webinars training courses.
- Suggest strategies for operation efficiencies and manage customer complaints.
- Evaluate and rate operation performance, industrialization of service ramp ups and reductions, and quality of workmanship through scorecard.
- Review and improve After Sales Center procedures and wokflows, implementing and overseeing eficiency changes.
- Perform periodic stock reviews of spare parts, machines, repackaging materials and other Nespresso and TQM miscellaneous assets. Compile and/or obtain inventory reports and stock movement history and perform analysis of inventory availability, usage, reconciliation adjustments, restocking needs, overstock and dead inventory situations. Ensure correct ordering of supplies.
- Perform periodic assessments of ASC's operations reviewing procedures followed and compliance to manufacturer's requirements for performing maintenance and reparation on Nespresso machines. Identify noncompliance's and implement improvement plan opportunities to align Distributor's and ASC's to Nespresso standards.
- Assist in and/or manage special projects. Support in coordination with departments and/or third party vendors to ensure all aspects and deliverables of projects fall within the applicable scope of work and budgetary objectives. Delegate and/or track project performance to completion. Develop comprehensive scope and objectives, forecast volume and labor resource, procedures and workflow diagrams and analytical cross comparative reports.
Experience & Education Requirements:
- Bachelor degree strongly preferred in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field training experience.
- 2+ years work experience in warehouse facility operations, handling of reverse logistics, after sales work production lines, and driving continuous operation improvement projects
- Experience in Inventory and Budget Management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- People Management skills
- Must have valid drivers license and clean driving history.
- Proficient with Windows and MS Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Travel required 30%; visiting all contracted ASC facilities and attending monthly operations meetings in person.
- Able to dialogue with all levels of management, stakeholder Management skills
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills
- Analytical skills (good with numbers, identify problems, trends and suggest solutions)
- Able to work with functional networks.
- Able to work under pressure and yet stay calm in times of crises.
- English language and preferably local language written and spoken.
- This job operates in a professional office, warehouse and after sales workshop environment.
- Employee maybe subject to wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) when functioning in warehouse and workshop environments.
