Job Description (Key Responsibilities)
Job Location - Tamilnadu
As a Sales Officer, you will be responsible for driving Nestlé’s business outcomes in your assigned territory by efficiently managing distribution, sales processes, and trade relationships. Your key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring product availability across all relevant channels.
- Planning and achieving monthly and yearly sales targets, including setting targets for each distributor.
- Monitoring distributor overhead expenses and profitability (ROI).
- Managing distribution setup and leading secondary sales force deployment.
- Implementing trade and consumer activations, merchandising and visibility programs.
- Ensuring distributor compliance with company‑defined roles, processes and responsibilities.
- Ensuring accurate execution of sales, discount and trading terms.
- Training and developing the secondary sales force.
- Conducting performance evaluations of secondary sales personnel.
- Demonstrating strong communication skills, analytical thinking, flexibility, resourcefulness, innovativeness, poise, and confidence.
Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- 1–5 years of field sales experience in FMCG/FMCD
- Strong understanding of channel sales and distribution management
- Ability to develop and maintain strong trade and distributor relationships
- Proven experience in achieving business targets and driving execution
- Good command over communication, analytics and problem-solving
- Ability to lead and motivate secondary sales teams in dynamic environments
