POSITION SUMMARY: 
The primary duties of a Maintenance Mechanic are general machine repair & troubleshooting including but also not limited to general electrical and mechanical troubleshooting (motors, PLCs, conveyor systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electrical wiring, welding, and bearing replacement). 
As a Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for covering and supporting the operations team in startup activities, line coverage, and total facilities support for continued operation of the manufacturing plant. You will have the opportunity to contribute your skills and background to a collaborative, cross-functional team. You will also train on new equipment and aid in the execution of both planned maintenance and predictive maintenance activities. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
• Must follow all plant safety rules and work rules and be a positive example to co-workers
• Must maintain compliance with regulations to the Safety & Environmental System(s)
• Understand the environmental aspects of the role and take action to reduce these environmental impacts
• Follow Nestlé Good Manufacturing Practices
• Maintain compliance with regulations, internal practices, and all related procedures and programs
• Understand and uphold the food safety and quality aspects of the position
• Understand and apply the principles of continuous improvement in the work area
• Maintain a clean and 5S compliant workspace
• Maintain a positive, teamwork focused attitude
• Gaining an understanding of ammonia refrigeration and boiler functionality/troubleshooting
• Safe and efficient operation of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) 
• Execute Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities to proactively prevent failures and promote safe and efficient operations
• Create, revise, and improve PM activities and workplans that are assigned through Asset Maintenance Management (AMM) and SAP
• Work to reduce unplanned operation stoppages through effective root cause analysis and collaboration
• Provide on-shift electrical and mechanical troubleshooting support to identify and repair breakdowns
• Utilize our SAP system to properly log maintenance related information including work time, parts issuing, failure logs, and work order notes

REQUIREMENTS/EDUCATION:
High School Degree or equivalent is preferred but not required
Must be able to obtain and maintain LOTO certification, operator’s licenses for forklift, scissor lift, etc.
Flexibility in days of week/shift maybe required to support the business/training with overtime work as needed to provide shift coverage and attend training sessions
Must maintain a valid driver’s license
Must furnish own general tools and toolbox

EXPERIENCE: 
2-5 years related and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
Food manufacturing experience is a plus

SKILLS: 
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment
• Ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization
• Self-directed/ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to collaborate with diverse team members
• Effective reading, writing, communication, and computer skills
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues by using effective root cause analysis
• Proficient in liquid / fluid components (valves, pipes, pumps, heat exchanger, vessels, etc.)
• Proficient in Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems (plumbing, utilities, millwright, low-voltage systems, HVAC)
• Knowledge of AC and DC Control systems, Fanuc robotics systems, electrical and electronic circuits, VFD troubleshooting, and instrumentation including temperature, pressure, flow, etc.
Preferred
• PLC troubleshooting, Programming, Allen-Bradley Rockwell Hardware/Software.
• Any Boiler operator certifications
• Any RETA nH3 certifications
• Any electrician certifications
• Experienced utilizing predictive maintenance tools and technology
