Position Summary

The engineering/maintenance(E/M) activities relating to the factory such that employee health and safety, product safety and the protection of the environment are never compromised and that all activities improve product quality, plant performance and the business objectives.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:  
Supervise the implementation of the Factory Engineering teams plan and objectives in accordance with Nestlé practices.
Propose and implement work processes, procedures and technical resources related to Factory E/M.
Lead the Factory E/M team and maintain proficiencies, motivation and performance to achieve the team’s mission and objectives.
Propose and control the budget as well as the factory's capital investment plans and related capital expenditures.
Supervise our capital investments and request for approval and reporting are in line with the guidelines for Capital Investment.
Ensure that projects are crafted with a high degree of flexibility to better enable the operations to adjust to a changing environment keeping in mind safety and the environment.
Execute M&I in accordance with the Nestlé Maintenance Strategy using Consequence Driven Maintenance (CDM) as the multi-disciplined approach to proactively maintain/improve the fixed assets and Asset and Maintenance Management as the process to manage the asset lifecycle.
Ensure the team view M&I as an investment in asset reliability and overall plant performance.
Collaborate closely daily with Production and Quality Assurance to resolve technical issues and to ensure efficient operation.
Ensure that all the team members are familiar with and implement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Ensure environmental compliance with Nestlé Environmental management System, Nestlé Operational Safety, Health and Risk Management Strategy.
Ensure execution of maintenance is in accordance with the Nestlé Maintenance Strategy by using the Consequence Driven Maintenance philosophy.
Ensure implementation of Asset Maintenance Management as Factory Maintenance Systems including Technical Stores Management, Work Order Management and Labor Hour allocation and Equipment Bill of Material (BOM).
Optimize predictive maintenance technologies to minimize unplanned downtime and utilize planned downtime for scheduled and Condition-Based Maintenance
Initiate and coordinate the implementation of new processes/technologies with local, market, PTC, CTU and SBU engineering.
Maintain and develop functional expertise in technical operations by providing training and development programs.
Manage resources continuously to align with factory objectives and business strategies, include outsourcing opportunities.

Requirements:
B.S. degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Chemical, Process required.
5-7 years experience in a technical field, preferably in food manufacturing facility including maintenance responsibilities.
Minimum 3-5 years of leadership/management experience required.
Knowledge of food safety, regulatory requirements for food safety and hygienic engineering (OSH&R).

Skills:
Understands and/or can learn the role and responsibilities of the position, including:
Understanding of financial analysis and relevant business drivers such as Nestlé Standard Costing, Asset and Maintenance Management, CAPEX budgeting and preparation.
1-3 years TPM / continuous improvement process development, preferred
AutoCAD view or Visio, CDM, AMM, ESAT, CIAT, NEMT, etc.
