POSITION SUMMARY:                        
The Store Room Attendant focuses on maintaining the necessary inventory levels of manufacturing supplies and tools to support production needs including: Collecting, storing, and issuing hand tools, machine tools, dies, measuring devices, and other equipment. Maintaining records of withdrawals and returns of tooling. Locating missing or misplaced tools. Ensuring that all tools and equipment are in good working condition and meet calibration specifications.

 

PRIMARY PRESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees Production tool handling for the factory
- Maintains information for store materials including making sure stocked items and daily MRP   (Material Requirements Planning) are entered into the CMMS system
- Maintains stock levels for items that will not be tracked in the system such as lubrications, miscellaneous hardware, and so on
- Allows transactions needed to receive goods, issue store materials, and carry out inventory counts
- Communicates with vendors, both verbally and in writing, on matters relating to storeroom materials, non-stock items, and supplies that will be manually tracked.
- Supports the Maintenance team by staging materials needed for planned work and issuing materials to work orders
- Receives and unpacks incoming orders by checking against items listed on requisitions and insuring materials are then put in their proper storage location
- Monitors store materials in the CMMS system, making necessary stock adjustments as needed. 
- Provides feedback to the maintenance staff, identifying trends including potential issues and improvement opportunities
- Ensures storeroom in well-maintained and functional, complies with all safety aspects related to types and integrity of materials. 

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Experienced Para-Professional
- Requires basic knowledge of job procedures and tools obtained through work experience and may require vocational or technical education

- Works under moderate supervision

- Problems are typically of a routine nature, but may at times require interpretation or deviation from standard procedures. 

- Communicates information that requires some explanation or interpretation 

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Work typically requires a high school degree or 1-2 year vocational training / associates degree.

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
