Agile Capability Manager- IT North America

Position Summary

The Agile Coach is an experienced professional coach who acts as a galvanizing force for IT teams in terms of sharing agile knowledge and building agile experience / behaviors throughout the organization. The overall goal of the holder of this role is to establish an agile center of gravity around leaders, teams and with their business stakeholders (customers and consumers, governance actors). The Agile Coach must have the ability to see and reveal systematic gaps in the organization’s behaviors and facilitate the identification and implementation of solutions. The Agile Coach is responsible for guiding leaders, product teams and IT Customers and Consumers to achieve their strategic imperatives in an agile, iterative and lean way. The Agile Coach is responsible for continuously engaging with external parties to understand best practices and industry norms. 

A day in the life of...

Contribution to IT Strategy - under the supervision and guidance of her/his primary Community of Practice Lead and Head of Office of the CIO, Head of Stream/Head of Platforms based in Switzerland
• Researches best practice methodologies for agile and coaching and assesses them for adoption into the teams
• In collaboration with the Learning and Training Expert, provides inputs and content for training courses and delivery modalities appropriate for different levels of capabilities and teams’ needs
• Actively provides advise to all Communities of Practice and when appropriate with the functions to increase agility through practice as well as knowledge acquisition
• Coaches the organization to reflect and continually discover better agile ways of working
• Creates a sustainable Lean-Agile capability that lasts long after key players have moved on
• Reduces or eliminates reliance on external Lean-Agile coaches and consultants
• Sustains the internal Agile Coach Community of practice and champion involvement in external Lean-Agile coaching communities
• Constantly increases the impact of the Lean-Agile coaching capability through clear alignment with the strategy

What will make you successful

(+3 years of experience having headed from waterfall to Agile)

  • In a world of Enterprise technologies.
  • Experience in Agile methodology in Hybrid environments
  • Establish and follow up on the Agile Capability strategic plan.
  • Coaching to different programs.
  • Innovation in methods of using the methodology.
  • Product development experience.
