Expert IT Vendor Management- IT North America

Position Summary

 

The Expert IT Vendor Management is responsible for driving the sourcing and partnering in-line with the IT strategy and IT sourcing strategy with the product streams and OpCos. He/she is a Subject Matter Expert for collaboration with Nestlé Global Procurement reflecting the requirements in a simplified common framework agreement that includes clearly defined and transparent IT vendor performance metrics in accordance to agreed governance with the vendors. S/He is also accountable for ensuring vendor innovation and value for money improvement over time.  He/she is reponsible for demand planning, sourcing vendor services, manage vendor performance, integrate vendor services, vendor governance and vendor spend management for the scope of operations for a Product Group/Opco

VMO Role: s/he will ensure efficient handover of the framework agreements to the Expert IT Vendor Management in product streams and OpCos measuring the vendor success level and ensuring adherence to the vendor governance.

A day in the life of...

• Contribution to IT Strategy - under the supervision and guidance of her/his primary Community of Practice Specialist and Regional and/or Global VMO Leadership, Head of Stream/Head of Platforms based in NA Regional IT Hub and/or Switzerland
• Implement quality and vendor management strategies that balance value, cost, risk and speed over time according to the IT sourcing strategy
• Define governance models, ensuring appropriate timely evaluations of new sources of services, managing the transition from one source to another.
• Assess and Deliver business value from services delivered by external service providers in coordination with internal delivery organizations.
• Ensure services are compliant with internal and external standards in regards to compliance.

VMO Role:
• Facilitates the developpement of the IT sourcing and Vendor (ecosystem) management strategy and translates corporate IT and business imperatives into IT sourcing targets"
• Delivers best-in-class IT/digital Product Groups/Solutoins with the right balance of external services and assets at the optimum balance of value-for-money, risk and speed through Vendors, multi-Vendor ecosystems and sourcing/engagement models    
• Supports the Product Group/OpCO to classify and rationalize the Vendor portfolio so that focus can be applied to the most strategically valuable Vendor relationships / engagements (highest strategic value)

  • Relationship with assigned vendors.
  • Gather data, connect dots, and develop insights.
  • Complex IT services contracts
  • Project management Capabilities.
  • Organize, Data Savvy
  • Knowledge of vendor management tools
  • Experience in working with Ariba, ServiceNow
  • Collaboration tools like Teams, SharePoint, and MS office
  • Advanced English.

       Nice to have

  • Ability to build or use dashboards
  • Build or us MS apps
