- Defining standards for physical data storage, maintenance, access and security administration
- Performing backup and recovery using Database Management Systems
- Configuring database parameters and defining data repository requirements, data dictionaries, and warehousing requirements
- Designing and implementing approaches to improve database performance, capacity, and scalability
- Recognized subject matter expert in job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience
- Manages large projects or processes with limited oversight from manager
- Coaches, reviews and delegates work to lower level professionals
- Problems faced are difficult and often complex
What will make you successful
- Bachelor's degree in business or computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in relational database management systems (MS SQL Server, Oracle or DB2)
- Experience in Database configuration and tuning
- Experience in On Cloud environments (Azure, AWS or GCP)
- Has specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise
- Manages large projects or processes with limited oversight from manager
- Coaches, reviews and delegates work to lower level professionals
- Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify solutions
- Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
- Interprets internal or external issues and recommends solutions/best practices
- Ability to work in a multinational & complex environment
