Digital AMS Communications Manager
The IT & Digital Americas (AMS) Communications Manager plays a key role in strengthening the influence and impact of the IT & Digital team across the Americas. The Manager actively promotes the team’s mission to make technology the “first solve” for every business opportunity and challenge, while highlighting the team’s unique role in creating marketplace wins. The role also helps build a culture where our people fully embrace their role as business game changers who help Nestlé leverage data, analytics and technology for strategic advantage.
The Manager supports the Communications Director in developing and executing effective communications strategies and plans that achieve the desired outcomes. They also lead the creation of engaging and strategic messages and materials to support IT & Digital leaders in their interactions with key business stakeholders, including presentations, written communication, or one-on-one interactions. The Manager role offers a unique opportunity to help influence and lead how the IT & Digital team connects with Nestlé employees across the Americas.
Key Outputs/Deliverables:
- Program Communication Strategy: Develop and implement communication strategies for priority programs that advance the organization’s mission, support Zone and global IT initiatives, strengthen understanding of the function’s role and contributions within Nestlé, and foster a cohesive and high-performing culture.
- Content Creation & Guidance: Drive the adoption of major data, analytics and technology initiatives by creating engaging content to inform IT & Digital and broader Nestlé Americas audiences about innovative consumer, customer and employee solutions and the changes needed to realize the benefits. Key communication channels include town hall meetings, emails, executive presentations and speaking points, video messages, newsletters, internal social media posts, and external candidate communications. Establish and share communication guidelines, best practices and key messages with IT & Digital teams to guide their content creation.
- Leadership Communications: Ensure that communications for the Head of IT & Digital Americas and other IT & Digital leaders are effectively tailored to objectives and key target audiences to advance Nestlé’s priorities.
- IT & Digital Brand Management and Internal Public: Ensure that the IT & Digital brand is effectively communicated in messaging. Promote the team's role and successes among team members, other Nestlé stakeholders and select external audiences (Ex: Employer Branding) to enhance IT & Digital’s reputation and the appreciation for its contributions to driving business wins.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Support IT & Digital leaders with select stakeholder management and engagement planning to achieve business objectives. Collaborate with key Americas and global business and communication partners to ensure informed, aligned and consistent messages and execution strategies. Form and manage communication networks around both everyday and project-specific initiatives to ensure message alignment, amplify results, and improve employee experience.
- Metrics and Analytics: Measure the effectiveness of communication efforts and use data to inform future strategies and tactics.
Measurement/Performance Indicators:
- Employee Engagement: Level of employee engagement and examples of mindset change, as measured by surveys or other feedback mechanisms.
- Social Media Engagement: Level of engagement on internal social media channels, such as likes, shares, and comments.
- Brand Awareness: Level of brand awareness, as measured by surveys or other feedback mechanisms.
- Website Traffic: Level of website traffic to content creation efforts.
- Direct Feedback: IT & Digital streams and stakeholder’s feedback.
Qualifications:
Education: A bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field. A master's degree in a related field may be preferred.
Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in internal or corporate communications, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful communication strategies. Experience in a Technology or FMCG environment preferred.
- 5+ years of experience working with multimedia storytelling, digital communication, and meeting execution technology, and large-audience communication techniques (such as Poppulo, Workplace, etc.).
- Strong experience developing effective communication strategies in multicultural environments.
- 2+ years of experience leading a communication strategy from ideation to execution.
- Language: Proficient written and oral communication skills in both English and Spanish.
Preferred:
- Experience developing or being a part of one or more Change Management communication strategies.
- Experience supporting Corporate Communications team with external storytelling.
- Experience advising senior leaders on communication approaches and messaging.
- Experience coaching junior communications teammates.

- Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication and storytelling skills to effectively incorporate insights from various viewpoints and engage all levels within the organization. Ability to create broad understanding of complex concepts via easily understood messages and materials.

- Company and Industry Knowledge: Have a broad understanding of Nestlé and enterprise business strategies and objectives; know how work flows end-to-end and how decisions and actions may affect different teams throughout the organization; understand how value is created and measured. Working knowledge of key industry dynamics and opportunities.
- People Skills: Build effective working relationships with IT & Digital senior leaders, project partners and communications team members, as well as key Zone and global communication and business stakeholders. Understand the ways of working within IT & Digital, and with other Americas and global partners.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrate influential leadership by articulating clear communications strategies and recommendations to various stakeholders that align with organizational goals and inspire adoption and/or action, whether through presentations, written communication, or one-on-one interactions.
- Technology Skills: Active, skilled use of AI-driven everyday workplace technology to drive personal productivity and work quality (ex: ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, etc.). Strong familiarity and active use of communication technologies for meetings and messages, such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Poppulo and other meeting, content management and social media systems.
- Administrative Skills: Skilled in developing and managing budgets for communications initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and optimal use of resources. Proven ability to oversee and collaborate with external agencies, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and strategic objectives.
