Objective:
Manages a "Savings implementation" project to ensure it delivers expected value to the Business partner, on time, on budget, on scope, on quality; adhering to the sourcing established Project Management methodologies. Is responsible to define master plan including projects, achievable key milestones, as well as tracking and reporting process against program timelines and milestones. Assist working teams on identifyin and executing savings initiatives and in procuring necessary data or other content. As part of this, is responsible to manage risks, quality and procurement; leads the project team and is the person that project resources report directly to for the execution of the project tasks they are allocated. Manage key stakeholders dentify and escalate emerging issues to appropriate leadership. Position holder spends a considerable amount of his/her time at the Project's primary location.
A day in the life of:
Process management:
- Define master plan including projects, achievable key milestones, as well as tracking and reporting process.
- Schedule and manage cadence of workstream-specific and cross-cutting PMO meetings, in addition to coordinating agenda time during standing governance meetings, as needed
- Define and syndicate agendas and documents for scheduled meetings
- Ensure documentation of meeting outcomes / stakeholder responsibilities
Knowledge management and best practice sharing:
- Knowledge management and best practice sharing: Where necessary, assist working teams in procuring necessary data or other content
- During implementation, serve as critical link between working teams and other colleagues to help address emerging questions on content or approach
Stakeholder coordination:
- Manage key stakeholders involved in the PMO effort including governance teams, Workstream leads and teams, and other involved colleagues
- Ensure Sponsors and working teams are coordinated on areas of content dependency across various workstreams
- Develop and continually update documents communicating overall Program “case for change,” objectives, architecture, and progress vs. timeline
Performance tracking:
- Track workstream progress against Program timelines and milestones (e.g., kick-offs, major workshops, etc.)
- Identify and escalate emerging issues to appropriate leadership (e.g., sponsors, governance)
- Identify and track KPIs to measure implementation success
Risk Mitigation:
- Project monitored and controlled, risks managed: manages the day-to-day activities of cross-functional project teams and ensures the adherence to the project plan.
- Identifies and mitigates project risk, keeping issues visible, to avoid impacting the project’s success.
Continous learning:
- Keeps up to date with latest development and methodology in relation with sources of savings and governance of implementation in accordance the industry "Best Proactices".
- Promotes continues learning in all the community participating in the scouting and implementation of savings innitiatives.
What will make you successful:
- 5 to 8 years experience on Procurement and business/industry
- 3 to 4 years experience:
- Diverse roles and increasing leadership responsibilities
- Agile project management experience would be an asset
- Substantial consulting leadership experience a plus
- Experience in managing change/transitions and change impacts. Operating in a matrix organization and development of influencing skills
- Experience with effective communication at different levels in the organization and in English
- Experience working in a global environment and with virtual teams
- Advanced English – non negotiable.
