The role
Join the Nestlé as a Packaging Coordinator, to support all the Markets Packaging Managers on the "Sustainable Packaging Strategy" by having a detailed "Designed for Recycling", "Fit for Purpose Packaging", "Virgin Plastic Reduction" and "Simplex Packaging Inexus/Oscar Savings" roll-out plan, follow-up action plans, data consolidation and reporting in Zone AMS
What you’ll do
- Provide Sustainable Packaging Standards: Deliver a comprehensive and up-to-date set of the Rules of Sustainable Packaging to markets, facilitating the transformation towards sustainable packaging and supporting Nestlé's commitment to sustainability goals.
- Monthly Coordination Meetings: Organize and conduct monthly meetings with all packaging managers in Z-AMS to effectively manage and oversee sustainability and packaging projects, ensuring alignment and collaboration across teams.
- Sustainability Projects Tracking Tool: Develop and coordinate a Sustainability Projects tool that allows stakeholders to monitor their Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and align with the Golden Rules. This tool will be updated weekly based on data from Service Now, ensuring accurate and consistent information is communicated among stakeholders.
- I-Nexus Simplex Savings Tool: Create and implement the I-Nexus Simplex Packaging Savings Tool, which provides stakeholders visibility into savings generated from sustainability projects. Collaborate with the CTAG Packaging Team to classify projects appropriately and understand their financial and sustainable implications in relation to Service Now initiatives.
- Collaboration with Central Teams: Maintain regular contact with the Center Packaging Sustainability Team and the NPTC, acting as the liaison between these teams and the markets. This involves aligning information, discussing market requirements, and identifying any potential gaps in sustainability efforts.
- Analysis and Management of Packaging Initiatives: Conduct thorough analyses of market products to ensure they are Fit for Purpose (FFPP) in terms of packaging, utilizing minimal materials to reduce environmental impact. Manage Virgin Plastic Reduction projects, establish glidepaths towards 2025 goals, and ensure that all packaging Not Designed for Recycling (Not D4R) is documented with consistent action plans. Additionally, verify data quality in the Packaging Report using Power BI and coordinate action plans to address any inconsistencies.
Minimum qualifications:
- Packaging Engineer at least 2 Years of Experience
- Process Definition Mindset
