We are currently seeking a full-time Stores Utility to join our team in our manufacturing facility. This role works 8 hour shifts 5 days a week.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Receive incoming raw materials and supplies through the use of SAP. Responsible for all receipt transactions, supplier lot codes, proper weighing of all materials, and temperature checks of trucks.
- Store raw materials in appropriate location (coolers, freezers, dry racks) through the use of the SAP location system.
- Operation of forklift in a safe manner.
- Completion of monthly cycle counting for all materials.
- Stage raw materials for packaging or production through the use of SAP. Accountable for inventory accuracy, FEFO rotation of all materials and traceability.
- Accurately complete all required documentation and system transactions.
- Perform all job duties in accordance with the company’s safety guidelines.
- Perform job rotations during scheduled workday depending on production needs.
- Assure proper movement of raw material through stores process in a timely manner and assure absence of down time.
- Assure that all deployment schedules are followed while working in shipping.
- Load trucks accordingly and in the proper manner
- Preparation and shipping of UPS packages.
- Stretch wraps all pallets from packaging lines.
- Assure that all pallets are marked accordingly and placed in the correct location based on deployment sheet.
- Keep transfer sheet updated with pallet codes, numbers and quantities for verification upon load completion.
- Receives raw materials, packaging containers, supplies and equipment by unloading trucks; items are moved by handcart and forklift.
- Check items, quantities, and weights against purchasing lists provided by supervisor to assure that they are the same as those ordered. Notes quantities of items received; notifies Quality Assurance to examine and approve for acceptance any raw materials received.
- Places clearly identified stock in appropriate temporary or permanent storage rack locations or in refrigerator freezer or cooler area in accordance with specific oral or written instructions or established methods.
- Organizes stock according to specific locations. Places color-coded and numerically coded stickers on products to indicate week and month of receipt. Moves and rotates stock so it is accessible to users.
- Stage raw materials and packaging for multiple operations using "pull" sheets.
- Responsible for calling the vendor to pick up used pallets.
- Assists the USDA inspector with the stamping of export orders.
- Dispose of trash, run floor scrubber and or mop and clean work area thoroughly.
- Work overtime as assigned by supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior certification for driving forklift, electric pallet jack, and hand jack.
- Must be a team player, willing to help in all areas.
- Proficient with computer use; familiar with SAP and standard Microsoft Office Software.
- Prior exposure to manufacturing desired, preferably the food or beverage industry with knowledge of GMPs.
- Demonstrated sense of urgency and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently or with a team with excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with other team members.
- Willingness and ability to work with minimal temperature control, exposed to local temperature variations (hold & cold).
- Ability to work safely and multi-task in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment.
- Ability to move/lift 75 lbs occasionally, basic math, and reading skills.
- Three months Nestle factory experience is preferred.
