Position Summary
Clinton, IA has been home to one of our factories since 1969 – a proud producer of Pro Plan®, Purina ONE Beyond®, Purina Veterinary Diets®, Beggin®, T-Bonz® and Whisker Lickins® among other varieties. For more than 100 years, Purina has been revolutionizing pet food production, and its ability to enrich the lives of pets everywhere. By 1956, mastering new production techniques, we literally reshaped pet care, introducing Dog Chow® as the first extruded dry food. We’re still at it today, with Tidy Cats®, the lightweight cat litter champion of the world and the leader in our category. Such leadership requires constant innovation and renovation, which is so often rooted in our world-class food production standards.
As the Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining plant electrical and electronic equipment to competent level including operator interfaces, process controllers, power supplies, etc. You will also need to understand and follow plant sanitation practices and procedures including primary work areas and maintenance shop.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Troubleshoot, repair and PM all electrical equipment in the factory safely
- Design, program and troubleshoot plant programmable logic controllers, input/output devices and associated equipment
- Demonstrate ability and desire to stay up to date of new technology and equipment as it pertains to plant operations
- Read, update, and create electrical prints and documentation
- Properly install conduit, raceways, fittings, etc.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Technical Associates Degree or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: (Years/Type) 2+ years industrial electronics or related electrical experience in an industrial, technical, or military environment.
