POSITION SUMMARY
As a Sr. Engineering Specialist for the Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS), you’ll be responsible for implementing, controlling, and optimizing manufacturing processes and machinery to achieve organizational targets. You’ll work hand in hand with Production, Warehousing, and Engineering to help improve standards that enable high performing production processes in our facility. You’ll analyze overall facility productivity and implement improvements to help us achieve the highest possible performance and efficiency. Additional responsibilities include defining equipment standards, leading process benchmarking and reapplication, and building capability within teams to do technical troubleshooting and process improvement. Your expertise will be critical in enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and overall performance in our distribution center.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for warehouse atuomation, collaborating with automation analysts to enhance supply chain efficiency and serving as a liason among site.
- Analyze real-time data and operating conditions to implement changes and benchmark standards.
- Facilitate process improvement initiatives aligned with Nestlé's goals and particiate in cross-functional improvement initiatives.
- Initiate, lead, and modify process/equipment improvements that will increase throughput, reduce scrap, improve quality, and eliminate losses.
- Drive and mobilize resources to conduct problem solving on systems or equipment through failure modes & effects analysis (FMEA) and other Six Sigma methodology.
- Participate in design, commissioning, and startup of new equipment/processes.
- Collaborate with technical experts, other functions, and other factories to create and replicate optimal solutions/best practices and design new or modify processes for shop floor associates to prevent or eliminate losses.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or related technical field.
- 5+ years of project/ process management experience in a manufacturing, military, or related environment.
OR
- Associate’s degree in a technical field.
- 7+ years of project/ process management experience in a manufacturing, military, or related environment.
The approximate pay range for this position is $95,000 to $138,000 annually. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
