We are looking for Manufacturing Services Manager to ensure the execution of contract manufacturing strategy in accordance with Business requirements, whilst ensuring full compliance with Nestlè Corporate Guidelines, contract manufacturing standard (St-21.116) and of products.

 


A day in the life of...
 

  • Make vs Buy Analysis: Lead and ensure that the right resources are gathered for a Make-or-Buy Analysis. Ensure that all projects outsourced undergo a review/ re-assessment of Make-or-Buy analysis with the relevant business. Responsible for preparation of Make vs. Buy with inputs from cross-functional team.
  • Sourcing Management: Identification and validation of potential contract manufacturers (new or existing) for a particular product. Lead the capability assessment process, including coordination of required assessment and audits, and ensures selection of best option.
  • Contract Management: Ensure establishment of Confidentiality Agreement, Letter of Intent and Complete Contract Manufacturing Agreement. Assist price negotiations under the leadership of the Procurement Department. Ensure timely review of Contract Manufacturing Agreements.
  • Project Management: Create the portfolio of Contract Manufacturers based on the Nestle business needs. Define contract manufacturers segmentation according to strategic relevance (transactional, strategic, integrated)  and builds appropriate sourcing relationships.
  • Ensure successful industrialization of products to be outsourced.
  • Ensure that strategic meetings are conducted with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of Contract Manufacturing with Business strategies.
  • Ensure detailed budget is done per outsourcing project and ensures that actual expenses are within the budget limits agreed with the Business.
  • Lead regular meetings with the Co-manufacturers to assess performances as per the agreed scorecard/KPIs (production capacity, line efficiency, quality, cost and service)
  • Ensure adherence to Nestlè principles and policies as well as local laws and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance to health, food safety and regulatory requirements of all products manufactured.
  • Ensure that root causes analysis and detailed action plans are put in place  to close gaps.
  • Lead exception management [unforeseen issues that may rise] meetings with Businesses and with Co-Manufacturers.
  • Ensure that mid- and long-term capacity plans are reviewed based on latest demand planning at least on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure action plans are put in place to manage any unbalance between demand and supply.
  • Coordinate with other markets split of responsibilities in case of Contract Manufacturer serving multiple markets.
  • Ensure that the protocols agreed in the Contract Manufacturing agreement for the exit management are effectively followed.
  • Manage all the phases of exiting the contract, while ensuring the required service, quality and cost. Ensures resolution of critical issues that may occur because of the hand over.
  • Develop and maintain competences and quality awareness, and commitment to zero defect in the co-manufacturer.
  • Assist in monitoring of key quality parameters by means of statistical process control in order to drive structured root cause analysis and continuous improvement in the quest for zero defect. Lead/Manage the co-manufacturer management review of quality (MRQ).
  • Ensure the correct functioning of the co-manufacturer laboratory, including personnel safety, availability of equipment and training of technicians.
  • Setup, manage, enforce and maintain the Nestlé Quality and Food Safety Management System as well as establishing the Operating Quality Manual at co-manufacturers.
  • Maintain full compliance of products and contract manufacturers as per Contract Manufacturing Standard St-21.116.

  • Academic Experience: University graduate in Engineering, Food Technology or any relevant studies
  • Experience in different factory and / or R&D positions, environments (Centre, Region, Market, expatriation, mission, projects).
  • Line management with demonstrated capability to lead a larger group. Proven track record in delivering results through others.
  • Management exposure across several functions.
