Assistant Manager – Financial Accounting (Shared Services)

Position Summary:

The role is responsible for ensuring the achievement of Accounts Payable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Tax compliance relating to VAT and WHT requirements. The position also entails financial accounting and reporting, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and company standards.

 

 

A day in the life of the role:

  • Monitor and drive the achievement of Accounts Payable KPIs by ensuring efficient workflows and timely GR/IR clearing in the SAP environment.
  • Handle vendor queries and support in achieving on-time payments.
  • Ensure accurate financial accounting and reporting maintaining general ledger hygiene.
  • Ensure Tax compliance by handling VAT and WHT computation, entries, payments and file returns in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Drive automation and improvements in finance processes.

 

 

What will make you successful?

  • Education: A degree in Business Management, Accounting or Finance, along with full relevant professional qualification in CA, ACCA or CIMA. Chartered Accountant with Audit and Tax experience is preferred.
  • Expected experience: Minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Language skills: Fluency in English.
  • Other skills: Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach. Adaptability and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
