Position: Executive – Procurement
Position Snapshot:

Position Summary:
The candidate is responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies for locally managed categories in line with the Nestlé Standardized Procurement Model. The role ensures the timely availability of indirect materials and services, effective supplier management, adherence to S2P governance, and seamless procurement to pay operations. The position also supports cost optimization initiatives, contract management, supplier development, and continuous improvement activities in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
A day in the life of the role:
- Ensure timely delivery of services and indirect materials in line with agreed SLAs.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholder departments to understand sourcing needs and define strategies for locally managed categories.
- Conduct supplier market analysis, category analysis, supply risk analysis, and develop Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) insights.
- Prepare and execute negotiation events to secure optimal commercial agreements that meet business needs.
- Ensure effective contract management, including SAP contracts, purchasing info records, and master data accuracy.
- Support efficient PR-to-PO conversion and ensure compliance to Source-to-Pay (S2P) business rules.
- Deploy and expand S2P e-tools to improve process governance, traceability, and stakeholder experience.
- Lead supplier development and performance management activities with the support of technical teams.
- Negotiate favourable payment terms contributing to overall working capital improvement.
- Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver agreed savings.
- Ensure full compliance with Nestlé Procurement policies, business principles, supplier code, and governance standards.
What will make you successful?
- Education: A degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or any relevant field
- Expected experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in the field of Supply Chain
- Language skills: Fluency in English and Sinhala
- Other skills: Able to collaborate and effectively communicate with all levels of management. Possesses good interpersonal and analytical skills
