Position Summary:

Reporting to the Head of Modern Trade, this role plays a pivotal part in driving sustainable business growth through the management of strategic retail partners. As a Manager – Key Accounts, you will be responsible for shaping customer strategies, delivering exceptional execution, and strengthening long-term relationships. This is an opportunity to own key accounts, influence business outcomes, and make a real impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

 

A day in the life of the role:

  • Drive business growth by developing and executing winning sales strategies to achieve ambitious targets.
  • Build strong, long-term partnerships with key customers through joint business planning and collaborative initiatives.
  • Take ownership of account performance – leading sales, distribution, promotions, visibility, and in-store excellence.
  • Bring brands to life by creating impactful promotional and merchandising plans that win at the point of purchase.
  • Use market insights and data to unlock new opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution, excellent service levels, and accurate forecasting.
  • Champion best-in-class store execution while maintaining the highest standards of market hygiene and compliance.
  • Inspire, coach, and develop your team to unlock their full potential and drive high performance.

 

What will make you successful:

  • Education: A degree in Marketing, Business Management or a related field
  • Expected experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Field Sales, Account Management, Business Development, Category Development, Distribution or involved in retail operations, preferably in a FMCG or MNC
  • Language skills: Be fluent in English & Sinhala.
  • Other skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be open to challenges and demonstrate out of the box thinking, ability to coach talent and drive performance
  • Mandatory requirement:
    • Should possess a valid Driving License
    • Open to travel for work
