Are you a legal generalist who enjoys working close to the business and turning complex legal questions into practical advice? As our new Legal Counsel, you will support Nestlé’s business across the Nordic region on a broad range of commercial legal matters. You will join a small, experienced Legal & Compliance team where you will have significant autonomy, exposure across markets and categories, and the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders throughout the business.

Your Job:

As our new Legal Counsel, you will support Nestlé’s businesses across Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Iceland. Based at our Nordic headquarters in Ørestad, Copenhagen, you will work closely with the Nordic Legal & Compliance team and colleagues across a wide range of functions, categories and brands.

This is a broad legal role where you will advise the business on day-to-day commercial matters as well as more complex legal questions. You will have considerable ownership of the legal matters you advise on, while being part of a close-knit team that collaborates across the Nordic region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Commercial Legal Advice: Advise the business on a broad range of legal matters, particularly within commercial and contract law, marketing law, competition law, and data protection.
• Contracts: Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements with national and international partners, balancing legal considerations with practical business needs.
• Business Partnership: Work closely with stakeholders across the Nordic organization, providing pragmatic legal advice, identifying risks and helping the business make well-informed decisions.
• Projects & Transactions: Support strategic projects, transactions, and other legal matters across the Nordic region in collaboration with the Legal & Compliance team and relevant international colleagues.

We Are Looking For:

To thrive and be successful in this role, you…

• Hold a Master’s degree in Law (LLM, cand.jur. or equivalent) and have a strong understanding of Nordic law and legal frameworks.
• Bring at least 3 years of relevant legal experience from a law firm and/or an in-house legal role.
• Are a legal generalist with solid knowledge of commercial law and enjoy working across different legal areas and business topics.
• Are independent and proactive, comfortable taking ownership of your work while knowing when to involve and collaborate with others.
• Have a pragmatic and commercially minded approach and are able to translate legal considerations into clear, actionable advice for the business.
• Communicate fluently in English and at least one Nordic language. Finnish or Norwegian language skills would be particularly welcome.
