Grocery.com Always on Media Manager - Up to 12 months fixed term contract
Location: Gatwick – Hybrid working: approx. 2 days per week in our office
Salary: £38k - £42k dependent upon experience + potential bonus + 12 flexible days in addition to holiday entitlement + other fantastic benefits

At Purina, we need to be where our shoppers are and work with our customers to provide a positive customer experience with our brilliant brands.  We have a great opportunity based at our Gatwick site, to join our Purina eCommerce Sales team on a 12 month fixed term contract as Grocery.com Always on Media Manager where you will be responsible for the management of Always on Media across grocery.com and emerging channels.  The role requires the recommendation and implementation of always on media collaborating with the Commercial Sales Teams promotional and feature plans and Shopper Brand Plans. It requires skilful and knowledgeable decision making to book, monitor and evaluate media to maximise sales for Purina and deliver ROI.

 

A day in the life of a Grocery.com Always on Media Manager …
As the Grocery.com Always on Media Manager, your role will involve working across a number of Grocery.com customers to bring to life promotional priorities through an always on media plan. You will purposefully influence and change a shopper's purchase behaviour through different shopper touchpoints and in return drive sales performance, this is done through unlocking insight and targeting bespoke activity, by brand and influence the online shopping journey to benefit Purina's online grocery performance.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Drive sales with strategically aligned retail digital media placements in the lower funnel that encourage shoppers to buy Purina products instead of the competition.
  • Effectively manage multiple customers at any one time across promotional plans and shopper brand plans within the assigned budget. 
  • Monitor and analyse campaign performance metrics to make 'Always on' investment work smarter. Provide regular reports and insights to key stakeholders.
  • Brief and manage agencies from retailer and execution areas through to completion.
  • Build effective and rewarding internal & external stakeholder relationships: Be the first port of call for customer/agency and main point of contact for always on media within relevant sales team
  • Collaborate with the commercial customer teams to unlock investment that will enable growth in Always On media inline with sales performance:  Make recommendations and collaborate on setting the budgets for the full year and following year to ensure Always On is an integrated part of the customer investment planning cycle 
  • Lead the development and execution of media strategies and campaigns for emerging channels such as marketplaces and quick commerce
  • Contribute to building capabilities across the business on retail digital media and online. Keep up to date with the latest trends and developments in the media/online landscape, and identify opportunities for our business to leverage them effectively

  • Previous eCommerce or Shopper experience and knowledge of how Sales, Brand & Shopper initiatives work together to ‘win online’
  • Online media knowledge of how to amplify brands and promotions through retailer websites
  • Demonstrated success in analysing data to implement continuous learning into future work
  • Experience of collaborating cross functionally to bring a strategic plan to life
  • Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally and within multifunctional teams
  • Ability to adapt plans under pressure and effectively communicate to all parties
  • Ability to work within budget and analyse ROI and wider business context to suggest future budgets
