We are recruiting for an Accounting Operations Accountant (Fixed Assets). This is a permanent opportunity which will report into Accounting Operations Manager. Our highly-skilled Finance function is a core part of Nestlé’s success within the UK and Ireland, offering a real range of career opportunities.  As you’d expect, the team is a large one, offering a chance to diversify and broaden your experience throughout your career, should you wish to.

 

 

 

 

Your impact 

 We have an excellent opportunity for an individual to join the Accounting Operations Team as an Accounting Operations Accountant focused on Fixed Asset control and reporting. Within this team we are responsible for the Period End Close process, the maintenance of the ledger, balance sheet quality and management reports to our Global Leadership Team and Senior UK Management.

 

Key responsibilities of this role are likely to include:

  • Activities related to Fixed Asset controlling and reporting (internal, external and tax related)
  • Ensuring the effectiveness of processes for the reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts relating to Fixed assets and lease liabilities
  • Global reporting of results to Vevey
  • Preparation of information for the statutory accounts and the tax computation
  • Continuous improvement project work and support for other team members

 

 

 

Your ingredients for success 

 As the successful candidate you’ll be eager to learn, have the ability to develop positive working relationships at various stakeholder levels whilst working to specific requirements.  The successful candidate will ideally be qualified or studying for an accounting qualification.

 

Key skills required include:

  • Excel skills and preferably SAP experience
  • Proven accounting skills
  • Established interpersonal skills
  • Highly proactive with ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload

Strong results focus to meet deadlines along with excellent attention to detail
