Position Summary

 

We have an excellent opportunity to join our Nestlé team as an Inventory Manager. This is an exciting new role, working across multiple categories (Confectionery, Beverages, Nutrition, Nestlé Professional, Health Science, Food and Dairy). The Inventory Manager will look to bring together the Nestlé inventory strategy for the UK and has the opportunity to work with stakeholders across the wider business.

 

A day in the life of an Inventory Manager

 

You will be the champion for inventory (finished goods & raw materials and packing) forecasting, planning and improvement projects for Demand & Supply Planning in the market working with key stakeholders.

 

Other key responsibilities include:

 

•    Identify and implement initiatives to improve stock forecast accuracy
•    Work with the Demand Supply Planning teams to identify and close gaps in process that impact stock projections
•    Communicate stock forecasts monthly to Finance and Logistics
•    Identify opportunities to optimise stock e.g. Improve stock target calculation – improve COF & right size inventory
•    Work with the businesses in and above the market to improve the processes for identification and prevention of age stock issues
•    Support DSP & logistics in the implementation of storage strategy changes to ensure full stock visibility and accurate deployment/stock planning
•    Support existing projects to work on the causes of redeployment – stock targets by location, DP bias by location, factory deployment accuracy, route through network
•    Identify opportunities to improve the Raw/Pack stock cover and planning process to improve availability and right size stock


What will make you successful?

 

The successful candidate with have a experience in supply planning, stock and inventory optimization and a proven ability creating inventory strategy.

•    Experience within Supply Chain, preferably having worked with Customer Facing Supply Chain and D&SP, especially Supply Planning
•    Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a virtual team
•    Courage to challenge and ability to influence
•    Ability to plan and prioritise work effectively
•    Proven background in working with multiple stakeholder, both internally and externally
