Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Out of Home (OOH) team here at Nestlé Professional as Lead Senior National Account Manager. This role will be focused on growing our Beverage, Food & Branded Deserts portfolio, particularly with our large contract catering customers (Aramark & Sodexho) whilst leading a team of three, one Senior National Account Manager and two National Account Managers. The role will report to the Head of Sales and be part of the route to market sales leadership team.

NP operates successfully in an enormous marketplace and is an ambitious growth driver for Nestlé. Your impact
Working as part of our Sales team, you will be responsible for developing customer relationships and delivering profitable sustainable growth through the day-to-day management of the commercial plan. You will work closely with experienced colleagues within the Customer Business Team and the Category Development Team to deliver growth and market share.

 

 You will also:

  • Help shape the strategic direction of our contract catering business.
  • Develop and agree customer specific joint business plans (JBP’s) to successfully achieve Nestlé’s and the customer’s commercial goals
  • Have full P&L management and accountability including sales revenue, trade spend, market share and profit targets
  • Pro-actively manage the relationship between Nestlé and the customers delivering growth and unlocking opportunities
  • Build and develop effective relationships through an engaging and forward-thinking contact strategy, utilising different functional teams to deliver a best-in-class partnership
  • Co-create and execute robust channel strategies, ensuing we have the tools we need to win in channels and customers for the long term
  • Provide all the required inputs for the Monthly Business Planning cycle
  • Oversee and ensure Nestlé Category and Marketing initiative plans are executed in store by working in conjunction with Brand Managers and our Field Sales teams
  • Run promotional post-evaluation and optimisation throughout the year to drive ROI understanding across the major multiples
  • Closely monitor industry and competitor activity, to ensure our strategic commercial vision is in line with market demands in a constantly changing, competitive environment that we work in
  • Have line management responsibility for 3 direct reports.
  • Be a key member of the RTM sales leadership team.

 

Your ingredients for success

You will have already demonstrated successful performance within sales, having delivered successfully on top and bottom line KPI's over this period including successful new business delivery vs. stretching targets.

 

You will have large customer account management experience, to include OOH and Foodservice.  

 

Influencing skills are an important part of this role so you’ll be able to communicate persuasively and credibly to multiple stakeholders internally as well to customers externally. You will need to demonstrate gravitas and a proactive, entrepreneurial innovative mind-set. 

 

You will also:

  • Be a skilled negotiator and have the ability to conduct multi-faceted negotiations
  • Demonstrate ability to analyze complex situations, lots of data, "join the dots", build insights based on analysis and develop plan to address opportunity and mitigate risk
  • Understand the importance of working in a customer centric way at every opportunity
  • Be curious and be courageous, we’re not afraid to think differently and embrace new ideas. We want you to disrupt what we do in the right way to drive great results and change.
