Position Summary
We have a great opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Pensions team. This role will be responsible for the full project life cycle for implementation of the Pensions Dashboard and also for data cleansing to ensure the success of dashboard connection and future pensions projects. This includes defining and implementing project plans, ensuring adequate resource is assigned and effective change control is undertaken, whilst ensuring that there is stakeholder engagement throughout.
A day in the life
This is a busy and challenging opportunity, with great exposure, particularly in the Pensions and Finance areas of the business. You will be expected to communicate at all levels as well as liaise with stakeholders across various teams, including the Pensions Leadership Team and Trustee Boards.
You will also:
- Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support this project and wider Pension goals in collaboration with senior management and project stakeholders.
- Take responsibility for overall progress and use of resources, including where required, negotiation with other managers to source required resources to ensure adequate data cleanse and successful connection to the Dashboard.
- Track progress against project milestones and deliverables and report to the Head of Change at identified events and times. Ensure delivery to time, cost and scope.
- Manage project risks, including the development of contingency plans and where appropriate, ensure effective testing is performed.
- Be responsible for change control, ensure data integrity, and compliance to relevant regulations and standards is maintained
What will make you successful?
As the successful candidate you will have experience of managing projects from start to delivery. You will have a can do attitude with a creative flair coupled with a solution oriented mind-set. Resilient by nature, you will be motivated by a challenge and have the ability to build strong networks and leverage them to drive change. A project management qualification and/or operational pensions experience are an advantage but not essential.
You will have;
- Demonstrable experience in planning and successfully delivering complex, multi-component projects across people, process and systems.
- Previous experience in data and analytics
- Proficiency in producing project documentation throughout the full project life cycle
- Experience of stakeholder management at senior levels
- Proven ability to communicate complex issues / requirements clearly using a range of methods to a variety of audiences and to engage stakeholders of all levels effectively.
- Exposure to project status reporting at all levels, highlighting potential issues and project slippage and explaining risk mitigation plans
- Proven track record in learning delivery, coaching, project management, and change management with the ability to engage others
